[Trisquel-users] How do I search packages on Trisquel's repositories?
Earlier I used to search for packages at http://packages.trisquel.info/ which facilitated for searching of packages through Trisquel's repositories like that of https://packages.ubuntu.com/ but recently I have been finding that http://packages.trisquel.info/ just provides index, not the facility of searching packages. So, How do I search for packages on Trisquel's repositories? Thanks.
[Trisquel-users] Re : Trying to install updates - but computer says check internet connection
The mirror of the repository you use is probably down. Try changing it, e.g., from the menu Settings/Repository of the "Synaptic Package Manager" (in MATE's "Control Center").
[Trisquel-users] Trying to install updates - but computer says check internet connection
I'm trying to install the security updates When I go to System = Software and Updates It invites me to enter admin password. It then highlights several updates to be installed. I try to install but it just returns a pop-up window saying check internet connection. There is nothing wrong with the internet connection as all browswers are working fine. Is there something else that I need to correct? Thanks

Finally sorted Checking the user login to use mate environment suddenly started working Thanks all
Re: [Trisquel-users] Has apt security issue been resolved in the latest iso image?
Since the vulnerability is present in the package manager itself, it is recommended to disable redirects in order to prevent exploitation during this upgrade only, using: apt -o Acquire::http::AllowRedirect=false update apt -o Acquire::http::AllowRedirect=false upgrade

[Trisquel-users] Has apt security issue been resolved in the latest iso image?
Hello all! Is downloading the Trisquel 8.0 LTS Flidas 2.5GB Live DVD iso image relatively safe from the DSA-437 apt bug now? In other words, if we were to do a new installation of Trisquel, and then run the "#sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade" commands after installing Trisquel to the HDD, would that be safe from the DSA-4371 bug? I have heard that apt got fixed for Debian. Source: https://www.debian.org/News/2019/20190123 I hope the iso image of Trisquel's apt is fixed, or will be fixed soon as well. Thank you in advance! :D
