XMPPloit is a command-line tool to attack XMPP connections, allowing the attacker to place a gateway between the client and the server and perform different attacks on the client stream. The tool exploit implements vulnerabilities at the client & server side utilizing the XMPP protocol. The main goal is that all the process is transparently for the user and never replace any certificate (like HTTPS attacks).

Any incentive that would unite the community (that is rather spread out) is a good idea, the question would be, will you have enough participants for it to be worthwile.A few years ago i addressed "somewhere" a similar project that would put all GNU/Linux Libre distributions under one umbrella/Forum (FreeSlack, ConnochaetOS, LibertyBSD..ect). Why a Forum ? Why not some other form such as here : https://linuxfr.org/ If you are developping Uruk wouldn't this be a bit strenous ? ie taking quite some time of yours ?

Re: [Trisquel-users] Either the rating system goes, or I will
The voting was initially for "spotting trolls" but many seem to abuse of that, ie down voting someone who express's his opinion or critisism, and in the case of Quantumgravity who has been part of the Trisquel Forum fo a while can feel upset by the recent "unjustified" down votes he had on previous posts. Seeing there is no moderators, i would recommend a certain level of "retenue" , and prefer people debate their different opinion, rather than cklck on "i like" or "i don't like". By the way i got downvoted for posting the Blag Kickstart files...so after all, in life one isn't suppose to be in everyones good books after all ;-) whatever misterious reason or not. There is more important things in life too. Best is to laught about it !

Re: [Trisquel-users] BLAG 200000 Alpha Kickstart Files
The configuration of the live image is defined by a file called kickstart. It can include some basic system configuration items, the package manifest and a script to be run at the end of the build process. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_and_use_a_Live_CD The first set of values in the kickstart file sets standard features before the actual install begins. These values in our sample kickstart file include the following http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=1157197=4 Will there be SuSE and urpmi editions, which dnf (from Fedora) is become unstable due to a weak connectivity? No idea about SuSe, these were BLAG ks files.

BLAG 20 Alpha Kickstart Files. For those interested in reviving Blag, gdNewHat or creating a Libre distribution based on Fedora. I'm referring to how development of LibreCMC was funded). From what i gather on https://librecmc.org/faq.html Are libreCMC developers paid? No, libreCMC developers are not paid. All the work they do on the project is on their own time at will. Does the libreCMC project get funding? Yes and no. Currently, libreCMC will get 20% of router sales from ThinkPenguin, Inc after all router stock has been sold. Funds received by the project are used for development hardware and tools to add new build targets. At this time, libreCMC does not receive money from any source and does not pay developers. No comparison is possible with Red Hat Enterprise 2017 Revenue: $629 million, in September, shares jumped more than 4.2 percent after the company’s second-quarter earnings report topped market expectations.. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/27/red-hat-earnings-q4-2017.html https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/17/09/10103541/wall-street-weighs-in-on-red-hats-impressive-quarter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Hat Red Hat Enterprise revenue is x628 times the one of the FSF !

Re: [Trisquel-users] I met RMS yesterday. We talked about Trisquel 8, this is what he said...
A solution could be to have a Libre distribution offering paid services, such as VPN, Web Hosting, email service, thus having an income that could be partly used to pay salary(ies) of one to two developer(s) to maintain that distribution. I'm sure if tomorow Trisquel offered these services, it could be selfsubstainable and maybe an even profitable enterprise.
[Trisquel-users] Re : I met RMS yesterday. We talked about Trisquel 8, this is what he said...
Vpincini, i gave my opinion in some previous post and will not repeat myself. Frankly with several years of experience, i have come to the conclusion that the FSF is very good with evrything that concerns "Software" that includes Licensing, but is utterly incompetent about the way the Libre Distributions are maintained.

Even if you do not wish to build Debian packages "build-essentials" installs all the packages you mention above, https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/build-essential for you ( gcc, gcc++, make, libc-dev, dpkg-dev).
Re: [Trisquel-users] installing from source vs normal install
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential Will install GCC, the GNU Compiler Collection & other essential softwares you’ll need to compile from source. https://gcc.gnu.org/ read the enclosed “README”, “INSTALL” or other documentation provided by the developers, and you won’t go too far wrong. https://www.maketecheasier.com/compile-linux-programs-source/ You may check if build-essential is installed with $ aptitude show build-essential if Aptitude is installed, or $ apt-cache show build-essential $ apt-cache show gcc

[Trisquel-users] Re : Virtualbox on Libreboot w/Trisquel?
Good point ! your link gives some answer though : We have invested some time looking for a solution to this, but did not find anything which could be done with the development resources available. Just now it is not a priority for us, which I trust you will understand if you look at the big picture, but if anyone can make this work to our satisfaction using a different compiler (that is, in a way which doesn't need lots of additional work on our part but still meets our standards) and provides the required build system patches we might well include them. https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/12011
[Trisquel-users] Re : Virtualbox on Libreboot w/Trisquel?
What is the reason they call it as "open" watcom? 'Open'Watcom' page about says that in the first half of 2002, the source was finally made available under the Sybase Open Watcom Public License, version 1.0. The FSF mentions Open Watcom on https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-source-misses-the-point.en.html under the Practical Differences between Free Software and Open Source paragraph as For example, “Open Watcom” is nonfree because its license does not allow making a modified version and using it privately. Fortunately, few programs use such licenses. But as you mentioned vita_cell Oracle VM is Licensed under GPLV2 (guest additions too) this leads to confusion. https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Licensing_FAQ Assuming Open Watcom compiles non-free librairies , thus opening the door to a malware binary(ies) as an executable program code which could contain data, instructions for malicious malware program to run in your OS. It would be helpull insight if those librairies, licenses could be cleary identified and pinpointed http://perforce.openwatcom.org:4000/@md=d=//depot/=1eZ@//depot/openwatcom/?ac=83 There is a fork, but what is the significant difference(s) with Original ? https://github.com/open-watcom/open-watcom-v2
Re: [Trisquel-users] Virtualbox on Libreboot w/Trisquel?
Thanks for the precision, and the potential malicious software threat this can implicate, reading thoroughly the Wikidia Watcom C/C++ page it is stated that libraries necessary for it to be compiled could not be released as open source.[citation needed] http://openwatcom.org/about.php https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Licensing_FAQ ftp://ftp.openwatcom.org/install/license.txt (download link)

Virtual box has been discussed many many times on this Forum,.. The Open Source Initiative has approved the license as open source, but Debian, Fedora and the Free Software Foundation have rejected it because "It requires you to publish the source code publicly whenever you “Deploy” the covered software, and “Deploy” is defined to include many kinds of private use." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watcom_C/C%2B%2B https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Open_Watcom Debian Wiki !!!... A proprietary extra package enhances the base experience https://wiki.debian.org/VirtualBox https://processor.revolvy.com/topic/Watcom%20C%20compiler_type=topic Watcom C/C++ was a commercial product until it was discontinued, then released as freeware under the name Open Watcom C/C++.

@FindEssential This is not jibbering or jabbering you are missing the point entirely , a very good exemple that contradicts the general idea that all is well is if you read the The Trisquel-translators Archives https://listas.trisquel.info/pipermail/trisquel-translators/ Excluding the posts made by the French group we created with HKR Mimmo.D_DN and myself (& i was tio too) we were the only ones communicating on that list from September 2016 till January 2017. De facto that list is tecnically dead since january 2015, it's an undeniable fact. Some membres have certainly added, translated some pages but how am i supposed to know about them if these contributions have not been discussed on the mailing list, how can i translate them, do i have to search for them in spanish, german)..ect..ect..this is disfunctional .
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uh oh - ArchiveOS listed Trisquel
Yes, he is basically doing this by himself : https://devel.trisquel.info/trisquel/package-helpers/commits/belenos https://devel.trisquel.info/groups/trisquel/group_members Contibutions : https://devel.trisquel.info/groups/trisquel/merge_requests Ruben also maintains Icecat GNUZilla, & develops Abrowser and works full time for the FSF as senior sysadmin. A look at the FSF tech team https://lwn.net/Articles/670363/
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uh oh - ArchiveOS listed Trisquel
I have come to the same conclusions as vpinci Sadly i started with gdNewHat in 2013 (abandoned japanese project) http://linux.softpedia.com/get/System/Operating-Systems/Linux-Distributions/GdNewHat-GNU-Linux-libre-102603.shtml Along with BLAG 14 Spartacus , Blag 16 Verne, (this should distribution should be removed from the FSF list !!! ) Freedora 19 /20, along with gNewSense 2.3, 3 Parkes & Ucclia 4 ...all these projects are either defunct, kaput, asleep or dead ..ect.. Then 2 years here with Trisquel 7 ! It's not a question of LTS software, its' a question of organization and contributions, this project much evolve and the non-communication has turned off my enthousiasm, entirely. You may ask yourself why 2 very kindhearted & talented irakis in a worn torn country are capable of spinning 3 versions of Uruk in a year ! https://trisquel.info/en/forum/trisquel-8-%C2%BFabandonado#comment-120596 while yes Trisquel is still in Alpha, if other devs are not attracked to this os, there must be a reason..this project must be capable of critisism, and mostly self critism, and solutions must be found. Maybe Ruben could just maintain the "packaging" part of the infrastructure (kernel, packages) and let the community find other solutions and make community respins.Uruk could very well replace Trisquel (why not?) On a big sailing boat (like a schooner), the skipper is peanuts without a *professional crew*, and team work, team spirit is the only way you can get to win a race at sea with a crew..but if you want (play) solo like the Vendée Globe then you still need sponsors, and a whole team behind you that prepares your boat, in fact it's much harder, more pressure on one mans shoulder. Often the answer is the lack of contributors. Why exactly and how come ? Part of the this is you need to build an infrasture (with tools) that is organized and replys to people that wish to to contribute. This obviously means *teams* have various responsibilities, like any other big distribution (organisation) and defining clear goals and objectives, so that everyone can participate, whatever his level, his availability, this must be encouraged. Ruben has certainly worked very hard over the years, and we owe him a lot of respect and a million thanks. This could be the occasion to set a new course for the project, or even start a new project. I'm leaving Trisquel https://trisquel.info/en/forum/im-leaving-trisquel Trisquel-devel] you're killing contributors' motivation, Ruben https://listas.trisquel.info/pipermail/trisquel-devel/2017-January/001039.html https://trisquel.info/en/forum/wanna-start-contributing-code-ask-your-question-here?page=1#comment-114283 https://trisquel.info/en/forum/please-contribute-trisquel-8 This is most probably my last post here too ..my enthousiasm is gone
Re: [Trisquel-users] Uruk GNU/Linux 2.0 (Beta1)
Bravo to the Uruk Team, despite the issues you faced you have done a great job ! Thanks ;-)
Re: [Trisquel-users] we nede your opinion
As Dave_Hunt suggested I like the way you do it now-- put the installation script right on the desktop! Maybe the Uruk welcome page should have pointers to some information about guix? Thank you ;-)
Re: [Trisquel-users] How can I watch youtube videos?
This is very anoying as i have always navigated on the Youtube site with NoScript and Youtube not inthe white liste, it is now a white page with or without TBB. SMtube has one issue is that the application connects over (unsecure) HTTP to Tonvid.com, & persistant cookies are stored in ~/home/md/.config/smtube/ as Vita_cell pointed out this can be disable in smtube.ini (all cookies & Js) though firejail seems to block the cookies too.
[Trisquel-users] Re : alternatives to samba
Gigolo is a really a great & easy SSH / SFTP application one can also use the command ssh -X to have a graphical login. For security it's good to use GnuPG for authentification.
[Trisquel-users] Re : Please ban marioxcc from this forum
If anyone is offended there is : https://trisquel.info/fr/project/issues The #trisquel IRC on Freenode and writing an email to Ruben, or David. But making a public topic on "banning" such and such tperson ransforms the tread into a "collective acusation"of which i disagree.

MarioXcc I suggest we call it a day..

[Trisquel-users] Re : riseup.net ** invite code **
Some threads here on the Forum in search "email" like https://trisquel.info/fr/forum/what-kind-email-services-are-you-using-and-recommend-and-why One can add https://cock.li/ (some humour or not ) Openmailbox seems is not reliable anymore..
[Trisquel-users] Re : riseup.net ** invite code **
Nickylodeon you should activate (temporarely) the possibility for potential users to email you via Trisquel users settings (you can disactivate that anytime after) Riseup issues only one invite, and puts that new account under observation thus its' makes the person who issued you an invite responsible ! ie if you spam or do anything ilicit , they can loose their email account. This is due to people abusing and doing illicit things with Riseup services. There was a time when a new user would have to have several invites fom different people.. Try this Have you tried Riseup Black, installing Bitmask Riseup Black accounts for new services that require the Bitmask application https://riseup.net/ This should provide you with a new Riseup account. -- There is also https://www.autistici.org/ -- https://mail.zaclys.com/ -- Please remember that Riseup, Austici & Zaclys are run by volunteers and need funds. -- Posteo though looks like a very good replacement as far as email goes, the 1 Euros a month is more than a bargain.

this is in French but quite explicit you can add a launcher manually and not with "sudo" https://trisquel.info/fr/wiki/installer-tor-browser-et-faire-une-configuration-de-base
