It is terrible. It is because I still need to install GNU/Linux-libre on my
other workststation.

GNU/Linux-libre is the best progrmers environment ever. It has the best
cmmand-line ever. And Freedom if course.

Is Netbeans also good? netbeans.org . As there is a plugin for Fortran
support in it. :D

Netbeans is good.

Under normal conditions I would recommend emacs but I have to admit that it
needs time to get used to.

Thank you though.

Yeah and learning keyboard shortcuts isn't what I need right now. I need a
free-typing (free flowing) text editor and compiler and debug log, an IDE.

[Trisquel-users] Good Free Software IDE For Fortran (for Windows)

2015-06-02 Thread deavmi

Currently I need to have an IDE for Fortran for Windows.

Does anybody know of a good Free Software Fortran IDE, as I would really like
to get even more close to Fortran and have my own IDE, just because I do not
like the pain of jumping between the command-line and my text editor.

Thanks in advance,

you can use geany which has fortran syntax highlighting
as a fortran IDE

out of interest why are you compiling on windows?
apart from the freedom aspect
its a terrible developers environment( in my opinion ).
