Hear, hear! Here's a few free ebooks https://gutenberg.org
Re: [Trisquel-users] How to read .azw and .azw3 files
Yeah, thanks, but that's not going to work. I've been steadily removing myself from Amazon over the last few weeks. Cancelled my prime membership, stopped buying from them, sold my stock, downloaded my music, and my books. The music works, but I'm going to convert it to ogg. I had 113 books, which I probably spent over $1,000 for! Aw well, they'll go in a thumb drive and wait until someone figures out how to convert them. I was definitely swindled, but now I am free at last! Down with Amazon!!

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried Calibre and also Fbreader and both show me that they contain DRM (a.k.a. the devil :)
Re: [Trisquel-users] How to read .azw and .azw3 files
You're welcome :) I found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/2ffbl7/how_do_i_get_the_drm_off_of_my_kindle_books_via/ I can't find the license of the DeDRM plugin though, so better proceed with caution.
Re: [Trisquel-users] How to read .azw and .azw3 files
Looks like these are files eaten by Amazon Swindle. You might try opening them as mobipocket, according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.azw#Proprietary_formats_.28AZW.2C_KF8_.26_KFX.29

Maybe Calibre can handle it.
[Trisquel-users] How to read .azw and .azw3 files
Does anybody know if there is any free software to read .azw and .azw3 files, or any software to convert them to a free format?
