Ruben has more on his plate now with a potential work discrimination  
investigation and may not have the time for this pet project. He may have the  
time to maintain Trisquel 7, but I'm getting the feeling Trisquel 8 is on  
hold for the time being.

I don't know if that's going to be the only desktop but I hope trisquel mini  
will at least remain on the repository...

I think you may need some more help doing this stuff.

Why not enlist someone else to help you in the updates of trisquel 7 so you  
can work on trisquel 8?


Just make a thread asking for a helper who has a lot of programming  
experience and have them to the updates for trisquel 7.


You can always reject this idea but I don't think you should screw yourself  
over in doing all of this ALONE...


I make emphasis on ALONE because it could deprive you of sleep and sanity...

I'm quite busy at the moment but I'm trying my best to find time for the  
project. I think I should focus on T7 updates and security for a while, and  
come back to T8 development as soon as I can (even if it is tempting to spend  
time with the new toy!). I'll publish updates as I go along.

I suspect that Rubén didn't have the time to continue them. But now that the  
FSF is down to one sysadmin (Rubén himself) I doubt that he will have even  
less time now, at least until a replacement sysadmin is hired.
