Re: [Trisquel-users] Gnome Player doesn't work on live cd.
Go to gnome-mplayer preferences and choose x11 as video output. At least, this worked for me.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Gnome Player doesn't work on live cd.
jbar: the OP is talking about the audio output (pulse or alsa) and not he video output. X11 is the video output and the OP has told us that the video works perfectly fine. He has issues with the audio..

He,he :) Don't worry mate, I'm actually on a good day. On a bad one I am prematurely senile like an old hedgehog, so I get you perfectly.. X_x
Re: [Trisquel-users] Gnome Player doesn't work on live cd.
Did you try opening any video with VLC? Some videoplayers require the gstreamer plugins for the mp3 to work and it could be that on a live distro those are not there. Anyway, if sound works, it will work once you install the system, so go ahead and install it. welcome to the community!
Re: [Trisquel-users] Gnome Player doesn't work on live cd.
I didn't try to open it with VLC because it was not preinstalled and I didn't know if it was possible to install it on the live cd. I'm gonna install the OS on a partition, in January when I will be back home, and than I'm gonna try again with Gnome Player and if it doesn't work I will try VLC too. I will keep you informed. Thanks for your help, all of you :D
Re: [Trisquel-users] Gnome Player doesn't work on live cd.
"If I try a movie, the video works perfectly but the audio doesn't work." That's the part I was referring to. You open a video and the sound is ok but a black screen is showed.
