CRT's now have very little lifespan remaining, besides they are not an option for a laptop regarding resolution even "fullHD" feels too much for me (pixel is too small even on 17" laptop) 1280x720 seems like a good compromise for a laptop, also it is exactly half of 2560x1440 and exactly 1/3 of 4K so the only remaining drawback of hi-res screen would be increased battery drain which I can live with

This issue is the main reason why I do not ever want to have or use 4k or higher screens. I like my pixels crisp and sharp. I am even considering buying a CRT monitor again.
