[TV orNotTV] Finally, some numbers on cord-cutting

Over 3 million cut their subscriptions to multi-channel services last year.
Subscriptions are down 7% since 2012.

There are a lot of other stats in the article, and it doesn’t have a lot of
breakdown or analysis, but a drop that massive affects every aspect of TV
production, from the content creators to the studios to the networks to the
providers.

I suspect between now and the fall season, there will be more stories about
massive layoffs.

The near-eternal question WRT the tourney was finally answered after over 
30 years late last night, as #16 seed Maryland-Baltimore County, the 
Retrievers from the America East Conference, trounced a suddenly-sputtering 
Virginia side by 20, crushing millions who'd had the Cavaliers taking the 
trophy... ESPN
