Re: [TV orNotTV] Country-music couple "would consider" a talk show together

2021-06-09 Thread John Edwards
Kelly Clarkson and Drew Barrymore have shown how it’s possible to do. The
advantage any show trying it from now on would have is that people have
spent 18 months figuring out how to do it.

I believe Kellie Pickler's talk show was also based in Nashville.

Re: [TV orNotTV] Country-music couple "would consider" a talk show together

2021-06-09 Thread Karen Owen

TNN (The Nashville Network) used to have 2 regular talk shows.

Crook and Chase hosted by Lorraine Crook and Charlie Chase

and Nashville Now hosted by Ralph Emery and co-hosted by

puppet Shotgun Red.   I didn't watch these regularly but I

think they concentrated on Nashville music celebrity guests

or movie/TV people who were working in Nashville.

If they don't need in person guests anybody could do a talk show

from anywhere but it would have to have better production

values than the shows people are doing on YouTube from their

basements.

Conan’s plan is to get back in his regular studio for the last week or two with
a full (or mostly full) studio audience. Hopefully it happens.

Conan announced on tonight’s show (Tuesday) that the plan is to have live
audiences at Largo for the last couple of weeks, rather than going back to the
studio at Warner Bros. Andy and some of the writers tweeted earlier this year
to show that they’d struck the set and moved out of their offices on the lot,
so it kind of makes sense that they wouldn’t spend the money (or make the
effort) to go back there for only a couple handfuls’ worth of shows.
