 For completely different reasons, I was also surprised by how much time 
Colbert spent on this topic during the monologue tonight.
Personally, I'm also grateful that the Flores lawsuit has the secondary effect 
of knocking down much of the coverage of the WFT's continued stupidity with 
their name.  Of course, I no longer live in the DC market, so that could 
account for my sense that I'd expected the Commanders to get a lot of fluffy, 
fluffy sports bloviating.

1. The Flores lawsuit makes clear just how duplicitous the NFL is with its 
hiring processes for head coaches. The racial discrimination is both pervasive

2. Flores alleges that his owner told him to lose games, and offered him

“tanking” to improve draft position, but there is potentially something more 
toxic going on. As we have discussed in several threads this year, the NFL and 
its broadcasting partners have decided in recent years to go all in with sports 
gambling partners. In that context, when the owner of one team is paying his 
coach a bounty to lose games, it raises serious questions about game fixing. 
God help the NFL if a member of the Stephen Ross (Dolphin Owner, Trump 
Supporter and Banker) is found to have bet against the Dolphins. Or, (nice 
thought) perhaps one of the Trump idiot kids is found to have placed such a 
bet? And because of the Flores lawsuit, Ross can be deposed.
