Yeah, but Murdoch owns TalkTV (it's mostly a simulcast of his TalkRadio)
and GBNews, a part-owner of which is John Malone, which Olbermann keeps
telling us is paste-eater Chris Licht's ventriloquist through his
controlling interest of WBD, is trying to be (within the impartiality
guidelines of Ofcom) the Fox News of the UK.  So I say F 'em up the A, even
if the monarchy is an outdated institution that needs to go.

In Chicago Weigel's WCIU is not carrying the LIV package (Nexstar's WGN
is).  I have been wondering if Nexstar is planning to either pull the CW
affiliation from WCIU or offer to buy Weigel, which would include a merger
of their vintage TV subchannels with Weigel's MeTV and their subchannels.

I’m curious, do Sky or BBC or ITV televise the coronations or inaugurations
of other countries? Because I don’t see a lot (or any) newsworthiness for
Americans who denounced the crown back in the 1770s. I’m sure it’ll be

There's precedent for this with at least one of the stations involved: WTOG was 
the initial Fox affiliate for the Tampa Bay area when the network was just the 
Joan Rivers show, but when Fox started moving to expand into prime-time, they 
dropped the affiliation and stayed independent. (In the following decade, they 
became a UPN affiliate.)

[TV orNotTV] New Jeopardy podcast

It’s called This Is Jeopardy! and it’s hosted by Buzzy Cohen. It claims to
be about the history of Jeopardy and it seems to be targeted to a more
general audience than Inside Jeopardy. I listened to the first episode and
before I recommend it (or not) I have to get more of an idea of where they
are going with it.

The first episode went through game show history going back to radio, the
scandals of the 50s, and the Art Fleming era.
