[TV orNotTV] Canadian cable dispute. Eastlink vs Corus

Got a notice from my cable provider. First time I've ever seen this type of
dispute myself.

Eastlink has notified their customers who subscribe to its cable television
service that as of June 27, 2023 they will lose access to 33 television
channels and Global OnDemand.

“We are reaching out to let you know on June 27, 2023 Eastlink will no
longer carry Corus TV channels, which includes HGTV, W Network and
Showcase.” says the letter to customers. “Global Television will remain in
your channel lineup.”

Eastlink has told customers that they will do everything they can to ensure
customer TV viewing experiences continue to meet their needs and provides
value.

Also, they screwed up the transfer from HBO Max to Max for YouTube TV
subscribers, and we were unable to access Max for the first day (I am now).
I spent an hour on hold with Max, then had to put up with multiple attempts
by them to sell me a new subscription, before they finally acknowledged
that I did have a subscription thru YTTV, only to be told I had to talk to
them. YTTV is easier to deal with, but still another 20 minutes till they
told me there was a system wide failure of Max to recognize YTTV
credentials, and they were working on it.
