Conflicting reports if there were only 2 holdouts for a unanimous guilty
verdict, or more like 5 - 7.

I didn't follow it closely. But it was headline local news in Pittsburgh as
the jury was selected in our county to serve in the trial in the
Philadelphia area. There was only one victim allowed to take part and the
bulk of the state's case was the deposition Cosby gave in 2005 where he
testified he gave the victim quaaludes before having sex with her. Since
that was already established, the prosecution did not have to find
witnesses. The defense only called one witness and it wasn't to attack the
victim's credibility. The question the jury deadlocked on was whether the
sex was consensual or forced.

I seem to recall a story last month about Cosby being nearly blind and
having trouble speaking. Perhaps that was a sympathy ploy by the defense,
but I don't see him on a lecture tour regardless of the verdict.

Did anybody follow this trial? I have questions about actual witnesses (not
defendants) who were supposedly at the dinners where Cosby gave the women
pills. Were any of the other dinner guests called as witnesses?

[TV orNotTV] Cosby taking even more risks?

2017-06-22 Thread Bob Jersey

Despite the good possibility that he'll be retried for sexual assault, two
people associated with the comedian told a TV show in their hometown of
Birmingham, Alabama, that he's planning "town hall"-type meetings

(Salon link) to help young people avoid being falsely accused in similar
situations... B
