come on out anyway and root your friends on to victory.

What makes this Jew Bowl
better is the new twist we are throwing in the mix. Football season has
already started for college and soon for the professionals. After we play

professionals on the Big Screen TV's to see how it is really done. We aren't
all from this area so come on out and root your favorite team in action or just
come and enjoy each others company and rehash those great plays that were made
on the field. If you don't want to play football that is fine as well you can
meet us at Playmakers. The plan is to play football from 10-12:15 or so then
head over to Playmakers around 12:30. Football games begin at 1pm

Title: TYJP: August Upcoming Events Schedule

Shalom everyone!

We had a wonderfully successful Board/Planning meeting this past Wednesday; we have scheduled an exciting Fall and Early Winter for everyone. The new schedule can be found below. We also thought of some other events (Symphony in the Park, Movie in the Park, Tour of Historical Site, Trip to Ashboro Zoo, and Pool Party), but either could not find a volunteer to lead the event, or could not find a date for the event. If you are willing to host one of these events, please contact Michael Cohen at [EMAIL PROTECTED]; otherwise, we will keep these items on our list for the Spring Timeframe.

For this coming week, I just received the Schmooze and Views information, and you can find it in this note. Dont forget: You only have a few more days to RSVP for the August 11th Wet n Wild Day at Emerald Point Water Park; all the wonderful details can be found below.

On that note, in this installment of the TYJP events newsletter, please find detailed information for the following:
Wednesday, August 7, 2002: Schmooze and Views
Sunday, August 11, 2002: Wet n Wild Day at Emerald Pointe Water Park(RSVPs Required)
Sunday, August 18, 2002: Joint Mosaic/TYJP Learn to Scuba Party(RSVPs Required)

Mark your calendars for these other events; more information will follow in subsequent Emails.
Thursday, August 15, 2002: Happy Hour in Chapel
Thursday, September 19, 2002: Happy Hour in Raleigh
Sunday, September 29, 2002: Joint TYJP/Mosaic JewBowl Football followed by another Football Spectator event.
Sunday, October 6, 2002: Swing Dancing at Cliftons on Newton
Sunday, October 20, 2002: State Fair
Thursday, October 17, 2002: Happy Hour
Sunday, October 27, 2002: Brunch at Weaver Street
Saturday, November 9, 2002: Poker Night

Dont forget that Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur begin early this year (September 6 and September 15). This is the reason nothing is planned the first two weeks of September.

Schmooze and Views:

When: Wednesday, August 7, 2002
Time: Meet eat at 6:30, slide show at 7:00
Where: Know Book Store Deli, 2520 Fayetteville Street, Durham (a few blocks south of NCCU)

Tom Stern and Tema Okun will show slides and share observations from their visit to the West Bank at the end of May. The Durham couple had the opportunity to tour many of the cities now in the news before the current incursion and month-long 24-hour curfew made travel there virtually impossible, including Ramallah, Jenin, Nablus and Bethlehem, as well as East Jerusalem. They also were able to meet with many people, both Israeli and Palestinian, who generously shared their experiences living and working in the West Bank..

For more information, please contact Erika Kaye at [EMAIL PROTECTED].
