Re: [U2] adding UO.NET section to web.config

2010-08-25 Thread Symeon Breen
Thank you Jacques, that now works.

Quite interesting - the parameter i am after is OpenSessionTimeout - this is
not a member of Uniobjects so i can not see a way of changing this
programmatically, hence why i needed to use the web config way of setting this
up.

Subject: [U2] adding UO.NET section to web.config

Hi there are many examples of setting up uniobjects.net params within the
config file, however in asp.net simply putting the UO.NET section in
web.config does not compile as it is not a defined section. So I have also
added the following

configSections
section name=UO.NET
type=IBMU2.UODOTNET.Uniobjects,IBMU2.UODOTNET/
/configSections

This compiles, but it pays no attention to the UO.NET section.

Does anyone know what else i need to ad to my web.config to get it to use
the UO.NET section ?

Thanks
Symeon.

We have a customer that is using JET to output documents, does anyone know

I thought it was John Sisk, but obviously not. I've just found this post
from 2006

I don't think you get the joke. JET stands for John Emil Treankler, the
creator of the JET word processor. And Frosty = John Emil Treankler.

So you see why a dead JET would be an upsetting thought for Frosty. ;^)

So if you can find Frosty, he would probably know where it's ended up,
or might still own it himself.

Cheers,

JET was owned by Ascential. I'm not sure who has the hot potato
these days. Dan Cheddar was the last person maintaining it, so
wherever he is, that's probably the company that owns it.

[AD] If you have JET documents that you want converted to Word,
OpenOffice, Google Docs, PDF, or other formats, Nebula RD offers
ConnectingFlight, a vehicle from what you have to somewhere
else. Tens of thousands of JET documents have been successfully

[U2] Does Reality Flavor have globally cataloged subroutines?

2010-08-25 Thread George Gallen
I tried using the * when I cataloged, but if I use call *subroutine() it
doesn't find it.

Which brings a second question,
If I have one account that is prime flavor, with a globally cataloged
subroutine,
How would I call it from a reality flavored account?

George
