RE: [U2] Via Systems
I received the following email from ViaSystems on November 13th... Dear Via Systems Customer: As part of our business expansion we have moved our domain name from via.com to viasystemsinc.com. You are now able to reach us on the World Wide Web at www.viasystemsinc.com, or if you prefer send an email to any of the following addresses: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sincerely, Your Via Systems Team -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Suzanne P. Their domain appears to be for sale. As I am contemplating making a commitment to MyViewPoint and use ViaDuct rather extensively, the sudden disappearance of their website is unsettling. RE: [U2] Credit Card Processing
Check with Total Computing Solutions in Utah (801) 796-7600. Currently our company does not accept credit cards but will be doing so in the near future as we open a new store front. It would be nice to come up with a solution that I could easily interface to our Universe 10.1 business application. [U2] wIntegrate on Vista
Has anyone attempted to run wIntegrate on Vista? I am looking at IBM's plan to offer support for wIntegrate 6.0.4 on February 28th. I realize it would be unsupported, but has anyone just loaded any release on Vista to see if it works? [U2] UniObjects for .NET - Reference / Experience / Advice
I received the following inquiry from an end user and would like to get the group's feedback. The site is installing a new SQL based case management system and is wanting to bridge between the SQL application and an existing UniVerse application. At this point we are exploring the use of UniObjects as an interfacing mechanism to keep our UniVerse data in synchronization with an external data source. I wonder if any of you could possibly help with a reference - a project you are aware of, at a customer site that would be willing to talk with us about their experience with the UniObjects for .NET SDK. I am looking for a technical or an IT project manager type of contact - someone who could describe real-world pitfalls and gotchas of using UniObjects as middleware running in a Windows Service, or in an ASP.Net application (either UI or Web Service), with an objective to getting a sense of the level of maturity and reliability and most importantly limitations, as we are hoping to leverage this technology for a long-term strategy. Thanks again for any help. Ray --- u2-users mailing list u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org To unsubscribe please visit http://listserver.u2ug.org/
RE: [U2] UV 10.1.3 and Windows 2003 service pack 1
Tony, UniVerse 10.1.3 is not certified for 2003 SP1. Don't know if you would have any problems but if you do you will not be on a supported platform. That is something to think about. I would suggest upgrading to 10.1.11 which is certified for 2003 SP1. If you experience any issues, you are top dead center on a supported platform.
