Re: [U2] Epicor and Eclipse Was Re: PICK Systems Administrator position

Manage-2000 aka ROI is still under the Epicor flag and using Unidata as
the database. Epicor pushes hard to move us off to other products but we
are die hards and to my knowledge development is still continuing on
this product. We are a loyal bunch and love listening to the traumas of
those that have tried to transition off to other offerings with great
difficulty.

This is fascinating, although I primarily know these products from a
distance. Am I correct that Epicor was UniData. Is it now Progress instead?
Have customers moved from UniData to Progress? Was this previously Intuit
Eclipse that runs on UniVerse? What DBMS will this new company favor? Does
anyone have any more clues on this? --dawn

It's obviously a new installation at the nuclear missile base that Santa
is building at the North pole! Or maybe this is a fishing expedition

Re: [U2] UV - Tracking file writes

2006-07-12 Thread Tech Man
I use file triggers quite frequently to trace down problems with
processes. You can find the documentation for this in the Universe SQL
Reference manual.

I need to track all processes that write to a specific file. At one time I
remember that you could set some type of trigger to do this.

If someone could provided me the information on how to do this, or direct me
to the documentation that covers this I would appreciate it.
