GNU Screen is a little terse. Very old program. If you do not know you need it, i would not use it first. Assuming you are using unix, tandem must be run as root, and you just do tandem portno. Can you tandem to it? I have tandemed to rpc sessions for debugging purposes. I use gnu screen to detach and reattach to u2 session all the time. I have heard that it is possible to reconnect to a headless udt session. For example, a udt session being run by /usr/bin/expect and cron. Has anyone here heard of that or know how it is done?
