You know, like 32-bit vs. 64-bit? And perhaps it is I who is being ignorant; if a system is 64-bit AIX does that mean that it's running 64-bit Unidata? Ah so. Just because you are running on a 64 bit system you can still be running 32 bit Unidata. And for hashed files both static sized and dynamic, 64 bit Unidata does not get past the 2G file limit.
