Subject: [U2] Windows 2003 Server Tunning

I am not sure if there is an updated document or not but I figured I
would ask. In the NT 4.0 days there was a document published on
recommended setting changes in the OS to optimize the system for
Universe. Does anyone know if one exists for Windows 2003 server?

Thanks,

RE: [U2] Windows 2003 Server Tunning

2006-12-17 Thread Mike Henderson
Tony,

No, I was hoping, too!

Actually, what would be really nice, even better than a white paper,
would be a UniVerse Installer utility that *automatically* chose
sensible non-default values for the various tuneable parameters based
on what system you were installing onto. As far as I know, UV 10.2
will still install exactly the same tuneables today on a machine with,
say, two dual-core x86-64 CPUs and 8GB RAM as UV 9.5 would have on a
P-III/750 with 512MB RAM [except for the new-since 9.5 parameters
which will all be se to backwards-compatible values].

And surely that can't be right!

Regards

Mike

Set policies in Windows
1. If W2K3, using Windows Explorer locate D:\IBM, rt. click and select

Curious if you got anything on this?

Thank you,
