Yes. Parallels only runs on the Intel Macs. For the PowerPC Macs the option was VirtualPC. (Before Microsoft acquired it. Don't know if they kept it available for Mac after that.) Apple does ship a vt100 telnet client with their os. We use Terminal - Built into the OS.
