[Ubnt_users] AC1 data backup?

2014-12-07 Thread Mike Lyon
Anyone happen to know if it is possible to creata backup of the data for
AC1 in case you ever need to re-create the AC1 server?

Then the opposite too, if you can backup the data, when you rebuild the
server, how do you bring that backup to life?

Thanks,
Mike

On the old Rockets and NanoBridges it literally has no changes from 5.5.8
except for more frequencies.

I'm saying those ports won't work if the management interface doesn't
work. In my case, my switches failed to respond to the management
interface and the non-management ports stopped working as well (they did
pass voltage, no eth link IIRC)

[Ubnt_users] Old Rockets, weird problems

2014-12-07 Thread Mike Hammett
I have some old Rockets (maybe 5.2.1 vintage?). I upgraded them as needed
throughout the years. The past day or two, performance in on part of the
network has been erratic to say the best of it.

I noticed that they were in Compliance Test mode, but didn't have the input
boxes for the DFS stuff, so I must have entered it at one point, but never
actually moved over. They were on 5.5.2.

Don't fuck with what works. Well, now it's not working right.

I upgrade to 5.5.4, then 5.5.10. I set the country code to US no DFS
channels show up on the AP.

Do I need to reboot it after setting it to US so that I can get the DFS
channels?

A reset to defaults and starting over is kinda out of the question at the
moment.

Any other ideas?

If I have to climb to replace radios, ePMPs are going up instead.

None of them have the DFS enable section nor DFS channels in the frequency

Does the UBNT watchdog reboot or does it power cycle?

Trying to trigger a power cycle on something that's not dead, but weird.

This is a link that I probably setup 4 years ago and forgot about save for

entering the DFS code when I got them in the mail.

 either.

I did not reboot after setting country code back to US, though, as I don't

Old rocket, plug in DFS credentials for your company, reboot BOTH SIDES.

I noticed that they were in Compliance Test mode, but didn't have the
input boxes for the DFS stuff, so I must have entered it at one point, but
never actually moved over.

2014-12-07 Thread Mike Hammett
That's what I started working on when I noticed it was in compliance test, but
I can't have the link die because the Rocket fails to connect because it only
thinks 5.8 is available when it is allowed DFS and 5150.
