[Ubnt_users] DFS for NanoBeams
I admittedly don't keep up as I should on this list so I'm probably bringing something up that has been talked about a lot, sorry. I am out of NanoBridges and while I'd dearly like to move to NanoBeams because they are a much nicer radio, they are boat anchors without DFS capabilities. Why it's taken longer to get this certification is beyond me but before I buy another few hundred NanoBridges (when I am lucky enough to find a supplier that still carries them) I'd like to know if the certification is any closer? Re: [Ubnt_users] DFS for NanoBeams
Ubnt is too busy on Airphones and airCrm. They care most about their stock price and you're buying one unit or the other so it doesn't hurt them at all. I feel it's the truth and it sucks. We and other Wisps are in the same boat with you, but I'm taking the life raft. Latest 5.6 beta auto reduces power when it goes in the DFS band for CPEs and when on auto frequency for the APs I suspect this is some changes to get the devices ready/certified for DFS. I just received your off-list email...You mentioned 5GHz NanoBridge and 2Ghz Nanobeam initially, but in your off-list email you mentioned 2GHz NanoBridge. The 2GHz Nanobridge was discontinued ~1 year ago. I would not be surprised if none of these were still left in the channel. The PowerBeam (initially called NanoBeam) replaced these. Tim, I think you need to get a new Rep at Streakwave. I just logged in to their reseller website that shows stock quantity on hand and they have 397 of the NanoBridge 5G-25 USA version in stock this minute. On NBE-M5-16 USA they have 468 in stock They only one they are low on is the NBE-M5-19 USA they have 1 left. On the NanoBeam M2-400 they have 275 in stock Garth - Original Message - From: Tim Reichhart Sent: 12/12/2014 4:07:40 PM To: ubnt_users@wispa.org Subject: Re: [Ubnt_users] DFS for NanoBeams Ben I was been told over the phone by double radius and my rep from streakwave/scansource and email from micro.
