It'd be worth it to see what the b5 would do with such a short shot.  
I'm a believer after finally deploying one.  
I am shooting through the top of a pine on a 7 mile link. I can still get 500+ 
through with the right channel selections.  
Signal level is -64, so the obstruction may not be such a big deal.

mile and a half.
I know I was able to get upper 50s on 2.4 signal on a previous installation.

I'd like to get the 300 meg.  I need as much bandwidth as possible.

Even works with a mouse

We have used a installation complete form that is required to be signed
when they log into the portal the first time with T&C's

Our installer gets them logged into portal and they sign it

the biggest difference, i guess is, no stuck beacon issue, which is due to the 
atheros chip set in the XM radio. 
the issue only shows up on the AP side, in environments that have moderate to 
high interference.

Pardon the newb. I know that XM and XW are different hardware, with XW
being newer.

But what exactly is the difference in hardware?
