Re: [Ubnt_users] 5.6.5 APs loosing at STAs until reboot?
Nothing about the change log indicates any changes that would impact lost stations. Ubiquiti support is trying to say "upgrade and see if it works", but my response to that is "tell me why I should expect it to work". Is there any way to get real support from Ubiquiti, not people that treat operators like idiots? email is fine. I'd just like to be able to email with somebody that is going to read the whole message and pay attention - seriously, these people will respond and tell you to try something that you said you tried in the email they are replying to! Re: [Ubnt_users] 5.6.5 APs loosing at STAs until reboot?
I'm having a similar issue verified on three BulletM2HP units for light duty sites (5-15 SMs). Symptoms are that (with 5.6.6) almost all stations will disassociate then re-associate at the same time. Sometimes it'll just keep bouncing, sometimes it'll stabilize. So far, going back to 5.6.4 has mitigated these symptoms. The MAC address of the CPA will be visible either way. What won't be visible is the MAC address of devices behind to CP if WDS is off. Turning on WDS is not an answer to all the worlds woes. WDS can cause issue if you are using MAC authentication from the CPE. Since the maces the CPE MAC transparent. Re: [Ubnt_users] 5.6.5 APs loosing at STAs until reboot?
We're seeing something similar. All the stations show associated at normal RSSI levels, but we lose 90% packets or more. A reboot brings the users back online. Seeing the issue on 5.6.6 as well as 6.0beta8 (figured it was worth a try). The AP I'm looking at that did this ten minutes ago is an XW. I'd roll back to 5.5.x, but can't because of the vulnerability. Anyone know of a stable 5.6.x firmware that works on DFS frequencies? Same here. Either all stations are dropped until reboot or all RX rates crash to 6.5 until the station is kicked or AP is rebooted. Maddening.
