Re: [BRLTTY] Brltty on ubuntu cd
Hi, Cheryl Homiak, le Wed 23 Aug 2006 12:09:11 -0500, a écrit : Wasn't sure on which list this was most appropriate, so hope nobody will mind my posting here. There is an ubuntu-accessibility lists, so I'm forwarding this. My question is: is there a way at boot to specify the braille-driver on the ubuntu cd? If one cuses f5 and the blindness choice for accessibility, brltty will, if I understand correctly, be looking for the braille display as a usb device. If one has a serial or usbserial device, one needs to be able to specify this device instead. It wasn't clear to me whether, before hitting the final enter for ubuntu to start booting, there was provision for entering the brltty driver information. Please Ubuntu guys answer this ;) Samuel -- Ubuntu-accessibility mailing list Ubuntu-accessibility@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-accessibility
Voice Control?
Are there any voice control projects that are nearing functionality and/or are available for Ubuntu? I have recurring bouts of peripheral neuropathy, which means I frequently have days I can not type. At all. So I'm looking for something that works about as well as Dragon (which is far from perfect, but at least I can use it for basic text entry and some simple machine operations on those days I can't type). pgpwF2NnwTGFl.pgp Description: PGP signature -- Ubuntu-accessibility mailing list Ubuntu-accessibility@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-accessibility
[Bug 56452] Re: Edgy: at-spi Crashes frequently
Luke, Do you have the problem described in https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gnome-panel/+bug/52405 ? removing /etc/xdg/menus/debian-menu.menu is a fix described there, which seemed to resolve both the panel problem and the at-spi problem for me. -- Edgy: at-spi Crashes frequently https://launchpad.net/bugs/56452 -- Ubuntu-accessibility mailing list Ubuntu-accessibility@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-accessibility
Re: orca
Mike, I am not certain as to the timeframe, but orca is now in the repositories and so we are getting closer.
