Re: [ubuntu-art] Indigo Icons
I would disagree that faenza is confusing because its square ( i have miro and transmission next to each other and never get them confused) , i think it makes the set uniform and bring the whole design together. I like your design and i would use it, i don't recognise all the icons but i like most of them :) my only query is, is the first icon VLC or RSS feed. cause it looks similar to VLC for iphone but im assuming its RSS feed http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/VLC-Media-Player.png -- Kind regards, Alexander King Oxodise Media | ABN: 93 128 144 953 310 24 oxo (310 24 696) | enquir...@oxodise.com | www.oxodise.com -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

But try not to get stuck with just rounded squares for everything. IMO, it's the most annoying thing in Faenza. It's a clever concept but everything looks exactly the same and it's not easy/quick to distinguish the icons without a second glance. -- Cheers, Vish -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art Hey guys, Just my 2 cents on this topic, Faenza icons are my least favorite of icons,, I am not sure that it's just the squareness of them. Some of them are quite nice and clever in design, but for the most part not. If going square, i would have used android icons approach,, rounded if square but extremely easy to read at first glance. Here is an example ; http://dl.dropbox.com/u/132551/screenshots/android_gui_10.jpg just my opinion coz -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art

Looks nice, but it's even more confusing than Faenza. I'm afraid I'd never guessed what do folder-mail-sent or user-trash-full mean. -- Sergey Shnatsel Davidoff -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art
