[Bug 60631] Re: [edgy]Crash opening firefox
I run this as en_GB, and also see the issue. So it is likely that any non-US locale has this problem. Maybe a testing/release plan needs to be amended to make sure it at least starts up in other locales. Could something like that be automated? I would be thinking of a script to set the locale, start Firefox with a URL passed in, ensure it hits a particular page on a server that was set up, then close FF (not sure how to script closing gracefully - any thoughts?), then do it all again on the next locale. -- [edgy]Crash opening firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/60631 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hmmm... maybe it's working for me with the latest usplash because it can't find any artwork =) So this might be related to usplash after all... maybe someone could re-assign the bug (don't know how this should work). -- BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#0! https://launchpad.net/bugs/60053 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This is not be the best solution, but maybe a parenthesis could be added to the minimum value with something like (see help for more information). [Bug 60826] pcspkr isn't default in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
Public bug reported: I'm sitting, listening to music, wearing earbuds. Suddenly a system beep comes along. BEEP! It apparently does not care about my volume settings. I should sue someone for temporary and possibly permanent hearing loss. On a slightly more serious note though; Come on... It's an annoyance for over 90% of the users out there. We don't care if we press backspace or tab once more than required. Public bug reported: -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Please sync dnsmasq 2.33-1 (universe) from Debian Sid (main). [Bug 24828] Re: IPv6 should be disabled by default
It is worse than that. In the time it takes for the IPv6 DNS request to fail the application times out on making its connection. seems ipv6 causes connection issues as in: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=258686 though I'm not sure if that's a problem with the user's router or with the timeout issue as Martin Hosken puts it. -- IPv6 should be disabled by default https://launchpad.net/bugs/24828 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
