[Bug 87459] Re: GL Desktop crashes on enabling
gnome-compiz-manager (the package that provides GL Desktop) isn't an Ubuntu package. Secondly, the backtrace suggests that you've got the compiz-extra plugins installed. If these are built against the wrong version of compiz, they will crash compiz on startup. With the latest compiz and compiz-extra packages from Universe (1:0.3.6-1ubuntu7 and 0.3.6.0-1 at the moment) do you see the same crash? ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- GL Desktop crashes on enabling https://launchpad.net/bugs/87459 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 25931] Re: Failed to initalize HAL.
deuce, if 'dbus start' fails that way, then it is already running. The easiest workaround is to just wait for some seconds at the login screen before logging in. The correct way is to rename /etc/rc2.d/S20dbus to /etc/rc2.d/S12dbus (this was recently done in Feisty). Here's another example -- again from Wikipedia (article Mezuzah), but using a different font. The vowel points are positioned completely wrong -- appearing after (i.e., to the left of) the letters, whereas most vowel points should appear under or over the letters. (See attached screen shot.) If you aren't familiar with Hebrew writing, you might want to look at the Wikipedia article Niqqud for an explanation of how vowels are indicated in certain texts. ** Attachment added: Sample text from Wikipedia article; note how vowel points are shown to the left of letters instead of under letters http://librarian.launchpad.net/6734905/Mezuzah_from_Wikipedia.png -- Default Hebrew fonts in Firefox are unreadable, ugly https://launchpad.net/bugs/23267 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 88908] Re: [UVFe] update to 0.51
No problem (I should have checked revu before uploading). So as soon as you have 2 ACKs, ping a MOTU or subscribe ubuntu-universe-sponsors. (I mark it back to Needs info, since it stills needs 1 ACK, and they'll probably forget to look at this bug if it is already In progress ;) ** Changed in: murrine (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress = Needs Info -- [UVFe] update to 0.51 https://launchpad.net/bugs/88908 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
