[Bug 162138] Re: [apport] package update-manager failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: SystemError in cache.commit(): installArchives() failed
I've upgraded by now. I believe that this *is* an update-manager bug, because update-manager crashed. Update-manager shouldn't crash if there's a network problem. Besides, I upgraded from the alternate CD, so any network interaction was minimal. I understand that sometimes there's not enough information to find a bug in a particular bug report, but blaming a crash on the network and claiming it isn't a bug makes it appear that you haven't really understood the bug report. ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- [apport] package update-manager failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: SystemError in cache.commit(): installArchives() failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/162138 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 154969] Re: kernel panic at boot with 2.6.22-14-generic
The Hardy Heron kernel was recently uploaded for testing. We'd really appreciate it if you could try testing with this newer kernel and verify if this issue still exists. Unfortunately, the Hardy Heron Alpha1 LiveCD was released with the older 2.6.22 kernel. You'll have to manually install the newer Hardy Heron kernel in order to test. This should not be the case for Alpha2 which is set to come out around Dec 20. However, here are the instructions to install if you choose to do so, otherwise just wait for Alpha2 to come out: 1) edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list and add the following line: deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu hardy main restricted 2) sudo apt-get update 3) sudo apt-get install linux-image-2.6.24-1-generic 4) reboot and select the new kernel from the grub menu After you've tested, please feel free to revert back - ie boot into the old kernel, sudo apt-get remove linux-image-2.6.24-1-generic, and remove the line from /etc/apt/sources.list . Public bug reported: QPSPManager is a PBP File manager for Linux. It's intended to use as a user friendly GUI to the known tedious pack and unpack processes of the PSP PBP files, directory generation and further copy into the PSP, in order to execute those binary files in PSPs with firmware 1.50. QPSPManager automates this process to make it a simple task to the end user, who will only have to select a PBP file and the PSP directory, leaving all other tasks to the program. It also provides some other cool features such as selecting custom PNG, PMF and AT3 files to use as an icon or background in the PSP menu.
