Hardy is now close to it's release, it will be the last Kubuntu to ship KDE 3, and it won't be an LTS like Ubuntu. [Bug 110246] Re: Firefox main window losing focus performing certain tasks on gmail
I can confirm that there are focus problems with firefox 3 and gmail. Easiest way to reproduce problem: 1) Go to Gmail settings, turn on keyboard shortcuts (make sure to save changes) 2) Go to https://mail.google.com (it's important to trigger a full reload- just going back to the inbox isn't good enough) 3) Hit j. Expected behavior is to move the arrow down. It does not. 4) Click to the right of the 'refresh' button (clicking into the mail frame) 5) Hit j. Arrow now moves down as expected Alternate way to fix it: 4) Hit shift-tab 4 times, moving the focus backward though the list until it lands on the right frame. 5) Hit j, Arrow now moves down as expected Various gmail operations will land the focus into an odd state. For instance, doing a search seems to put the focus one item beyond where it should be (shift-tab once will fix it). Hopefully that'll provide a place to start. [Bug 200065] Re: My big bug report
Hi jacob, Thanks for finding bugs. However, putting them all in a single big file in this way is not the usual procedure, most likely this will be unnoticed due to the large number of more correctly, formally filed bugs. If you want to mention bugs informally in one big file, as you did, then let me suggest that you do so in the Hardy Heron Forum on Ubuntuforums, http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=305 This isn't as good as filing bugs formally, but perhaps informal discussion there will clarify things and lead to formal bug filing (by you or by others). On the upside it can be fun and you generally get quick responses (in minutes or hours) by other users. Alternatively, you can file a separate bug, using the normal manner, here on Launchpad, one for each bug. See e.g. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs for guidelines on doing so, also, you can take a look at other filed bugs to see what the conventions are. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New = Invalid -- My big bug report https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200065 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 197064] Re: Hibernate fails on Centrino-laptop
I'm also seeing this on my X41 laptop. However, the attached patch makes hibernation shutdown my computer correctly (and also starts up afterwards). [Bug 33649] Re: root raid installs have bad grub config
I think I just saw this problem when I installed gutsy from the alternate cd. I have an existing RAID5 array on /dev/hd[cegi] and /dev/[cbef] which is /dev/md2, and installed to /dev/sd[ab]1, with swap on /dev/sd[ab]5. The installation went pretty much as expected (considering I had a previous FC6 RAID1 installation on there), but the reboot failed. To make it work, I had to edit boot from hd(4,0) to hd(0,0). That this works has me confused since the /boot/grub/device.map has /dev/sdb as hd(4,0), so hd(4,0) is the correct device and should work. -- root raid installs have bad grub config https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/33649 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 178431] Re: version 2.0.8 has been released
I add my vote to get 2.0.8 in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Hardy)! On March 13 (in a few days), there's something happening called Beta Freeze (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardyReleaseSchedule), so maybe it's too late. It would be very good to have 2.0.8 in Ubuntu, because, as far as I know, now it officially supports the recently approved OpenPGP standard allowing the new type of DSA signatures. Also, it supports the generation of these signatures (2.0.7 doesn't). It would be a big pity if this LTS release was stuck with not only an outdated version, but also a version that supports an old, superseded version of an important standard -- and at the same time the new version is in Debian -- http://packages.debian.org/sid/gnupg2 -- version 2.0.8 has been released https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178431 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 197922] Re: firefox epiphany icons too big in 1900 pixel width in Hardy
I confirm this with firefox and epiphany as well as of today. Total display (dualhead) width is 2464x900 and I attach some screenshots. Firefox has icons in menus scaled wrongly as well, whereas epiphany does fine hear.
