[Bug 310864] Re: [RS690M X1200] screen randomly blanks for short times
Hi! I have the same problem here. I am running jaunty amd64 on a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H mainboard (AMD 690G). With xserver-xorg-video-ati (6.11.0+git20090310.945ccbbd-0ubuntu1) I get these random screen blanks on my DVI output (the second VGA head is unaffected). Here, too, the blanks occur more often and are longer if the system is under higher load. 'Option DisplayPriority HIGH' did have no effect. I just gave radeonhd a try, and I had no blanks for the last 20 minutes. But with it I don't have XVideo or DRI, and even the 2D performance is very low. -- [RS690M X1200] screen randomly blanks for short times https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/310864 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). In the future, when apport opens, please click the icon and report the bug using apport. That will supply needed troubleshooting logs and information for the developers. [Bug 309684] Re: Please sync exiv2-0.18 from Debian Experimental
I would like to request FFe for exiv2 0.18. This version, released in Dec 2008, provides major improvements in the area of write support (added support for TIFF, DNG, NEF, PEF, PNG and JP2 images) and can properly detect Canon lens types (before only Nikon). It would be really good to have this version in Jaunty, as otherwise users will have to wait for almost a year after release (Keramic) to have access to these features. This request for sync was requested before FF, but transition of all rdepends took a bit of time. All rdepends issues have been resolved (pyexiv2 is still pending FFe from motu-release - see previous comment). Since January, I have also extensively tested exiv2 0.18 with two major rdepends: digikam and ufraw. No regression was observed. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ksysguard Hi, KDE 4 System monitor is showing wrong values of memory/cpu utilization in graphs under System Load tab. [Bug 343618] [NEW] New cache flush progress window misplaced and has truncated text
Public bug reported: The new progress window displayed when gnome-mount is flushing write caches has three issues. 1. The window should be mapped at the center of the screen and not at the bottom right corner. There's no use trying to mimic the old notification daemon (especially with the straciatella session support you added ;) (see 1st screenshot) 2. The window should have a window icon similar to the dialog icon (see 2nd screenshot) 3. The last part of the window text should be wrapped. The initial text was wrapped correctly, however when gnome-mount eventually tells the user that the device is now safe to remove, that text is truncated (see 1st screenshot too) All issues reported as a single bug, as they are minor design tweaks. ** Affects: gnome-mount (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- New cache flush progress window misplaced and has truncated text https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/343618 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 334101] Re: FFe: Xv and EXA not supported on R6xx/R7xx chipsets
I'm guessing that by the driver you mean an ati driver which was probably the closed source fglrx. The answer is; It still works just as well, except that Jaunty is using a later release of Xorg, and ATI haven't released a build of their driver that matches; and so it doesn't work on the current Xorg in Jaunty. THIS driver is new-ish and has always been poor on newer hardware AFAIK, it's just that more people are having to use it sooner than they thought because ATI are taking their time releasing their closed source driver.
