[Bug 372358] Re: Please merge openvpn 2.1~rc15-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
@Thierry I've tested the configuration according to this howto: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenVPN. I have just made a change in: ./pkitool --initca to ./pkitool --initca --pass since ./pkitool --server didn't support the --pass option. Well, after configuring, I updated openvpn to this version, and no password was asked at boot, however OpenVPN didn't prompt an [OK] message on boot... is this the expected behavior?? I'm attaching an screenshot and debdiff ** Attachment added: openvpn_2.1~rc15-1ubuntu1.debdiff http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27077191/openvpn_2.1%7Erc15-1ubuntu1.debdiff -- Please merge openvpn 2.1~rc15-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/372358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openvpn in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 372358] Re: Please merge openvpn 2.1~rc15-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)
@Andres: Yes, I seem to remember it was the chosen behavior. Fail to start VPN needing user interaction rather than blocking the boot with a console prompt. Ideally, you would replicate the exact same configuration in a Jaunty environment and check the behavior there, and just doublecheck there is no regression/change in behavior by using Karmic and the new package. [Bug 317564] Re: Upgrade to Subversion 1.6.x for Jaunty 9.04
I checked out the 1.6.2 tag from http://svn.collab.net... and managed to build it via autoconfig.sh / config and checkinstall. Now I have a fine svn 1.6.2 commandline client. However, kdesvn, nautilussvn etc. ppp all based on older 1.5-series refuse to work proberly and asking me to revert my wc's format to 1.5 series. On good old xp at work, it is as easy as downloading slicksvn and tortoisesvn to have a nice svn-working environment with alle the benefits from 1.6 such as much faster operation, and the ability to compress every 1000 Revs into one single file. On the other hand, git svn is poor still on xp, so I have to live with tsvn in the virtual machine and then git-ing it on linux if I want to take work with me... sad... ** Description changed: Binary package hint: subversion Subversion 1.5.5 is a minor bug fix release. [Bug 373281] Re: Xorg Cannot Determine Monitor Resolution on Bootup in Jaunty
Hi, same problem here. I was using ubuntu 8.04 desktop with HP Proliant Ml115 which uses Matrox G200 for vga, and 1280x1024 LCD monitor. [Bug 322732] Re: missing kernel headers
I have just noticed that more header files are missing than those outlined originally. It seems all headers falling under /usr/src/linux- headers-`uname -r`/drivers/media/dvb/ are missing (except now those in dvb-core frontend since Jaunty Fix Release above). This is the case for both Intrepid Jaunty (except for those now present due to Jaunty fix release above). The list I have of missing headers is as follows: b2c2, bt8xx, dm1105, dvb-usb, pluto2, siano, ttpci, ttusb-budget, ttusb-dec. Note: For Intrepid there is no dm1105 as I think it didn't make it into kernel 2.6.27. -- missing kernel headers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/322732 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Glad to help make things better. Wonderful that you would respond so quickly. I am getting old and got a big screen and enlarged the fonts a bit. Never thought of causing trouble for you. @Thierry I've tested the configuration according to this howto: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenVPN. I have just made a change in: ./pkitool --initca to ./pkitool --initca --pass since ./pkitool --server didn't support the --pass option. [Bug 331952] Re: [HP 2133 MiniNote laptop] Unexpected and unrecoverable wireless disconnect with B43 driver
I have experienced all the problems with the wireless connection on my HP2133 as described in this thread since installing 9.04 (from scratch). Following the advice in this thread, I have installed the patch (xserver-xorg-video-openchrome_0.2.903+svn713-1ubuntu2~ppa3_i386.deb), but I cannot find the src/via_lvds.c file. I've searched for via_lvds.c using sudo nautilus, I never installed openchrome as a screen driver, and adding the line driver vesa to xorg.conf causes malfunctioning of the display even before logon. (I booted from a Live-USB stick to put this right again.) My HP2133 runs Vista Home Basic 9.04, it has 2GB of RAM, a 160 GB disk with several partitions, 1024x600 screen resolution and the wireless card has the Broadcom 4312 chip. WLAN used to be ok on 8.04 and it also works in Vista (came with the machine, now dual-booting). Since a while the screen has developed a new feature, viz. upon minimizing a window, it 'zooms' to the edge displaying black wire-frames diminishing in size. I didn't set this, it just started doing it. Maybe this gives away which screen driver is actually in use. If output from particular commands is needed to describe the situation, I think I can manage that. I just don't know what information is needed. So, is it normal that I don't have the via_lvds.c file? Do I need to install openchrome to have this file? (The patch ran fine, though, as far as I know. No experience with installing patches here, though. Hey presto, it just ran and seemed to do what it is supposed to!) -- [HP 2133 MiniNote laptop] Unexpected and unrecoverable wireless disconnect with B43 driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/331952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 358054] Re: no block devices found after an upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04 on a soft RAID1 system
I have _one_ idea that could explain it's gone, but I dont assume anything: when on an old working install, you install the 2.6.28 being running the old kernel. This runs initramfs on the old curent one. When trying to boot on the new one, it brakes. Then, after booting with the workaround, and upgrading once your system, the initramfs has been ran on the current new kernel, so everything got OK. I wont install a vanilla kernel on this box. ;-) -- no block devices found after an upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04 on a soft RAID1 system https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358054 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
