[Bug 560377] [NEW] [lucid] Stuttering mouse
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: qemu-kvm This seems to be a regression in the last week or two. I've got Beta2 (64bit) booted on a 64bit host (upto date as of today 10th Apr). The mouse is erm stuttering - it's a bit hard to describe but if I move the mouse slowly it will stop and a few seconds later suddenly move quite a distance - probably to where it should have been if it had been following it all the time. Neither the host or guest are doing anything much at the time, and I'm pretty sure this didn't used to happen. Re: [Bug 555184] Re: default chinese font isn't ttf-wqy-microhei
On 04/10/2010 12:19 AM, Dsegun Ludice wrote: I think this bug is already mixed two issues. The reporter said the system is not using this font as the default chinese font. all I am saying is we need to tease apart the bug bits from a wishlist. Issue 1 is a bug, issue 2 is a wishlist. I bet you can not solve issue 1 solely by bumping the priority of microhei; because if you do that, Japanese Kanji will be shown in microhei, and it will be another bug. For the second issue, i personally think bitmap should not appear in a modern operating system. I agree that this is likely true for Latin fonts, but for Chinese, this was not that clear, at least not as many non-CJK developers thought it was. The only data we have related to Chinese font preference is the poll at Ubuntu Chinese forum a few years ago. It showed a 7:3 split for vector:bitmap preferred users from 300 voters. [Bug 535521] Re: ck-launch-session doesn't set x11-display-device
This was fixed in LTSP 5.2. `su` was used instead of `ck-launch- session`, along with $CKCON_X11_DISPLAY and $CKCON_X11_DISPLAY_DEVICE pam environment parameters, so that now LTSP fat clients properly get an active CK session. Yeah, sounds like the module isn't getting inserted into the kernel again, which is, well, very odd by itself, heh. Thank you for your reply! I've since upgraded the hardware and can no longer test the bug. New hardware behaves nicely and a shuts down properly, saving many Joules. libpam0g prompts for this on upgrade because it has no way of knowing whether all of those services are being upgraded at the same time. If they're not, the user may not be expecting the service interruption, so the behavior is to ask the user first before restarting services from other packages. Note that the prompt is suppressed if running under update-manager and the user does not have any non-default services installed. [Bug 559822] [NEW] editra is provided by both the editra package and python-wxtools and conflicts
Public bug reported: package python-wxtools (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/editra', which is also in package editra 0:0.5.30-1 I installed Editra from the editra package and then also wanted PyShell which is provided by python-wxtools. [Bug 553200] Re: Mouse and keyboard stop working after selecting user
Same here, I installed nvidia_96 through Jockey today after a buch of updates on a fresh install of Beta 2. nvidia_96 fails to install properly, Then after a reboot, GDM crashes after clicking on a user. GDM restarts after a few seconds. I switched to tty1 and sudo stop gdm startx. Gnome desktop loads with nvidia accelerated graphics. nvidia module is actually loaded and running. Compiz effects are working. But Jockey still reports that nvidia was disabled.
