[Bug 624739] Re: /etc/tomcat6 is created with the wrong permissions
Hi, thanks for your explanation. I have the same problem actually on other hosts not running OpenCms. I suspect there must be something fishy in my service/engine/host configuration (It should be changed to write to /etc/tomcat/Catalina/ as you suggested for auto-deployment) Best regards! -- /etc/tomcat6 is created with the wrong permissions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/624739 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat6 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 423252] Re: NSS using LDAP+SSL breaks setuid applications like su and sudo
Regarding the pam_check_host_attr and pam_check_service_attr options of pam_ldap, nslcd has a pam_authz_search option that can replace functionality of those options (and much more). This option has been in nss-pam-ldapd since version 0.7.4. Any other feature requests (and bug reports) are very much welcome on the nss-pam-ldapd-users mailing list. Regarding the previous comment, could you file a bug report on the nss- pam-ldapd package if you think the problem is there? From the log it shows that only three lookups for the user user333 came in. No authentication requests were done for that user (at least not through nslcd). -- NSS using LDAP+SSL breaks setuid applications like su and sudo https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/423252 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libnss-ldap in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 625812] [NEW] Install needs to turn off Reverse Path Filtering

[Bug 435990] Re: fox fatigue: getting progessively slower until unusable
@drew: If you read the rest of the bug description you'll see this isn't about a crash. So a backtrace is not possible and an strace would run into the gigabytes. The flash/java versions are not particularly relevant because this bug dates from at least release 9.04 so the versions have changes several times without affecting the bug. But for completeness: openjdk-6-jre 6b18-1.8.1-0ubuntu1 flashplugin-installer 10.1.82.76ubuntu0.10.04.2 The extensions in use have already been listed above. For completeness here they are again: flashblock, adblock plus, downloadhelper. This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem. Good luck with that. I don't think this bug will be understood until we have some way of seeing where the CPU cycles are going. A useful step forward would be to see if the cpu being hogged in one of the extensions or in firefox, and if it's in firefox what part. Suggestions to achieve that would be helpful. -- fox fatigue: getting progessively slower until unusable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

First Gnome desktop appears and then xfdesktop kicks in, so it sounds to me like some flaw in a way environment is bring up. I guess that application does not call Gnome desktop do wake up by itself? How do you propose i can catch what application is doing in this regard? Wwhat other applications you would propose I could try to test, I observed this behavior currently only with UT. But I also observed this behavior upon logging in sometimes, when only Gnome desktop is displayed and I fix it upon logging in by sending 'pkill xfdeskop' and then it reloads and replaces Gnome dektop that was displayed upon logging in to Xfce session. [Bug 625692] [NEW] [Maverick] Unbelievably slow internet
Public bug reported: I installed yestedays daily live and todays avahi updates, but everything is slow. When I open up a web page in any browser it says: looking up ... waiting for... and pages are still not fully loaded after 3 mins. [Bug 344093] Re: SATA DVD drive not detected in Jaunty (testing)
I'm having the identical problem with the lite-on blu-ray IOS104 blu-ray drive on an ASUS M4N68T (nvidia mcp61 chipset) motherboard with fedora 12 (2.6.31.5). I tried upgrading to 2.6.32.19 to take advantage of this patch, but this *does not* fix the problem for me. I also tried to boot the maverick alpha 3 live cd from this drive so I could try 2.6.35, but no luck there either. After the initial bootup by the bios the drive is lost when the kernel is loaded. Similar to what others have reported, I am able to boot mandriva 2007.0 from the drive w/o problems. I looked closer at the patch and it is only for mcp5x chipsets which explains why this is still an issue for me on the latest kernels. I was wondering if it would be possible to compile the version of nv_sata used in mandriva 2007 with the kernel in fedora and boot with this modified kernel whenever I needed to use the drive as a work around until this gets fixed for my hardware. Would there be conflicts between of an old nv_sata and a new kernel? I am a linux noobie and have never tried compiling the kernel before, so I have no idea how feasible this is or how to try it myself. -- SATA DVD drive not detected in Jaunty (testing) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 565543] Re: Alps touchpad detected as ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse(in VAIO E series) after the kernel upgrade
Hi, just to eventually add something to solving the problem: I just installed Kernel v2.6.35.4-maverick and now my touchpad is recognized as touchpad again: xinput says: (2)] ⎜ ↳ ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad id=15 [slave pointer (2)] where before it was just this generic ImPS/2 thing. I can now access Gsynaptics and the touchpad-options under preferences-mouse (or at least i think it is, i'm using the german version so the names may not be correct). (Downside is that the Fn-Buttons aren't working as smooth as before, but that's not as important to me then having the touchpad work right) -- Alps touchpad detected as ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse(in VAIO E series) after the kernel upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/565543 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 625703] [NEW] [xorg-edgers] White screen after login
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg On Ubuntu 10.04, using Xorg-edgers PPA. - yesterday with updated packages, my Gnome session was working well with Compiz. - today I updating my packages (including xorg-edgers's ones), - after rebooting, my Gnome session leads me to a white screen where i can see the mouse cursor, and Compiz seems to work (a Compiz workspace chooser effect works, showing a small version of my 4 workspaces, but they are all white) - Ctrl-Alt-Backspace (that I had configured previously also) works and leads me to GDM. From GDM I can connect without any problem to Kubuntu, Lubuntu and Gnome failsafe sessions. So I guess this bug is related to a combinaison of Compiz + today's XorgPPA update. Please also note that for this bug report , I did ubuntu-bug xorg from a Gnome failsafe session.
