[Bug 823409] [NEW] 3.0.0 hangs for a long time when loading
Public bug reported: The first packages of 3.0.0 had this problem up to -6 if I remember correctly, -6 booted but failed to mount, -7 worked just fine and -8 started this hanging again. [Bug 823432] [NEW] multiple system breaks: GUI failure, boot failure, sloppy workaround
Public bug reported: Just updated using synaptic since updater was broken. Rebooted, and first it booted to my desktop background and a desktop. No unity(not even window borders) and minimal funcionality. I was able to get to the systems settings menu through right clicking, kinda started unity and in my attempts to stabilize it and close the terminal I started it in, it closed and I was unable to get it working again. Rebooted. X11 didn't start, to system hang after successful check battery state. Went into the recovery menu, got into root terminal, started x startx, then still had troubles getting around (acted like a program/nautilus), but got to another terminal and started to submit this. [Bug 821120] Re: Ubuntu One Music Store duplicates previously purchased tracks when purchasing full album
Pete, are there 2 separate copies of this song in 2 separate places within your Ubuntu One account, when you go to the web site? If so, can you provide the example paths where they differ? You can hide the real path info, if you wish, and the Purchased from Ubuntu One can be omitted, like this: /path/to/song1 /path/to/album/song2 What's important is the directory depth, and filename structure, here. If they are in separate directories, or if the second file got named 06 - Track 6 [copy].mp3 or similar for example. Thanks. Or, if they are only duplicated in Banshee, and keep multiplying every time you restart Banshee, then this is the copy-on-import issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821120 Title: Ubuntu One Music Store duplicates previously purchased tracks when purchasing full album To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libubuntuone/+bug/821120/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 823437] [NEW] [Latitude 2120] Connecting external monitor causes primary display to garble
Public bug reported: I believe this is not specific to the Latitude 2120. Running Oneiric Alpha 3 and when I plug a monitor in to the external VGA port, the display becomes garbled. [Bug 821391] Re: Firefox 6.0 Crash Report [@ uGlobalMenu::RemoveMenuObjectAt ]
This bug was fixed in the package firefox - 6.0~b5+build1+nobinonly- 0ubuntu2 --- firefox (6.0~b5+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu2) oneiric; urgency=low * Update globalmenu-extension to 1.9.1 - Drop Firefox 4 and 5 compatibility - Drop the uIGlobalMenuLoader interface, as it never served any purpose - Rework how we synchronize attributes to menuitems from their corresponding command nodes - Don't synchronize attributes from command nodes associated with menus - Rework how we handle document insertion/removals. Rather than keeping our dbusmenu structure in sync at all times, and routing the events to the correct node in the tree, we just mark the menu as invalid and rebuild it from scratch next time it opens. This should reduce problems like LP: #821391 - Honour the collapsed attribute. This solves a problem with multiple seprators appearing adjacent to each other in the greasemonkey menu - Store all booleans as PRPackedBool rather than PRBool - Add error checking around uGlobalMenuDocListener - Make uGlobalMenuDummy more robust, and use it as a fallback if the real menuitem fails to initialize. This should help reduce problems like LP: #831391 - If a menu fails to build correctly, mark it invalid and stop processing document events on it (which should avoid the crash in LP: #831391) - Invalidate a menu if we fail to insert/remove a node whilst processing a document event (which should help avoid the crash in LP: #831391) - Make uGlobalMenu::CanOpen() respect the collapsed attribute - Allow more than one menu node to register as a listener for any DOM node. In the case of command nodes, these may be shared across multiple menu nodes, with each one interested in receiving events. Previously, we just erased the first listener if a second menu node tried to register (discovered after adding error checking around uGlobalMenuDocListener) -- Chris Coulson chris.coul...@canonical.com Tue, 09 Aug 2011 18:29:02 +0100 ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu Oneiric) Status: Triaged = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821391 Title: Firefox 6.0 Crash Report [@ uGlobalMenu::RemoveMenuObjectAt ] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/globalmenu-extension/+bug/821391/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 804281] Re: Ubuntu 10.04 does not detect and install NIC driver for Intel 82579LM
Hi Euro, Support for this NIC is available in Maverick 10.10 or newer releases, see the following thread: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kernel-team/2010-September/012629.html An SRU for Lucid 10.04 isn't likely going to happen due to some of the items discussed in the following thread: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kernel-team/2010-September/012521.html However, if you still want to run a Lucid environment but have a newer kernel which supports this NIC, I'd suggest trying one of the linux-lts- backport-series package, eg: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-backport-maverick https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-backport-natty For now I'm marking this Fix Released for Maverick and newer kernels. [Bug 823467] [NEW] [Latitude 2120] bluetooth is disabled after suspend/resume
Public bug reported: Testing Oneiric Alpha 3 on a Dell Latitude 2120. Prior to suspend/resume testing, tests ran that verified that the bluetooth controller was detected and that I could connect and use a bluetooth mouse. After suspend/resume, these tests are conducted again to verify that bluetooth still functions. In this case, bluetooth fails to work after suspend/resume. The bluetooth icon in the indicator area shows that bluetooth is on. However, if you access the menu, there are no options available (as though bluetooth was disabled.) I then open the properties dialog and it shows Bluetooth as being disabled. I tried using the slider to turn bluetooth back on but it just jumps back to off and never turns bluetooth back on. Nothing I've been able to do so far has brought bluetooth back ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: linux-image-3.0.0-8-generic 3.0.0-8.10 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-8.10-generic 3.0.1 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-8-generic i686 AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
