@Alberto the big grey band on the left is visible only when metacity compositor is disabled. I'm getting the same error message on my system. Error while Sending message. Failed to append to maildir:/home/alex/.local/share/evolution/mail/local;need-summary-check=no#Sent: Cannot get folder '/home/alex/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/Sent': not a maildir directory. Appending to local 'Sent' folder instead. I started getting the error after reinstalling Natty because I'd installed Gnome3 and it was causing errors (but not in evolution) on my system. After a clean re-install of Natty, Evolution had lost all my emails, I found the files and copied them back into an empty folder allowing evolution to create the extra files it needed. But it seems something is missing. Public bug reported: I get low frames per second using glxgears, the half of what I got with Natty and previous releases. This behaviour is common for different graphics card (tested on Nvidia 250Gts, Ati radeon 7500 and Intel Gma500) so it seems not strictly related to video drivers but probably to some opengl libs (just guessing, please correct if I'm wrong). I know that glxgears is not a good benchmark tool but usually results are the same in every Ubuntu release and now in Oneiric are really different. I looked at glxgears because I felt that compiz and unity-3d are slower than in Natty, noticeable slower :) attached two screenshots of glxgears in natty and oneiric with a nvidia250gts 1gb.. if needed I could provide for different gfx cards. Public bug reported: pthread_cond_wait() fails to re-acquire the provided mutex when acting on a deferred cancellation event from another thread. I haven't been able to find any dokumentation what is actually officially supported - but there was no problem creating these groups in openldap - and It's usually pretty good at vetting what it allows - so it seems it is an allowed group name. [Bug 839417] Re: Update from 11.04 to 11.10 failed while calculating the changes
I could solve this problem by inspecting the file /var/log/dist- upgrade/apt.log. I could see there at the last lines that the culprit for the unmet dependencies was gcc-4.4. I uninstalled buil-essential and gcc-4.4 and now the error is gone and the upgrade has proceeded normally. I will reinstall when I finish upgrading. Panoramas, spectroscopic images, astronomical images, cam/cad images, etc etc. I use images larger than this regularly in some of these applications. There is no upper bound on the dimensions of images that users may need to create. f-spot should not be assuming one. I also have zeitgeist-daemon using 100% CPU after login. After sending it a SIGTERM it does and doesn't seem to come back regardless of what I do.
