[Bug 762987] Re: RT2870 WLAN Stick (D-Link DWA 140) not working. firmware does not support detected chipset
Alright, so we're *almost* there. Because 1.52.2 never made it in to natty-proposed/updates, the .changes file from the upload of 1.52.3 to natty-proposed doesn't list bug #804671, but does effectively include its fix. This is pretty important for displaying updates and the way things move through our system, so the source package needs to be re- generated with the additional argument of -v1.52.1, otherwise the bugs won't show up properly. [Bug 848273] [NEW] Bluetoothd prevents sleep
Public bug reported: I've had this problem for a while with various versions of Gnome and Bluez but it's most prominent in Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10 where the daemon will drop into uninterruptible sleep mode and refuse to allow the system to sleep. System Monitor says its waiting channel "call_rwsem_down_read_failed" The logs I can't say give any useful information but I ran cat /var/log/* | grep bluetoothd into the attached file so any devs might be able to get something out of it. I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 on a Lenovo T510 Intel i5 M540 Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset 0a5c:217f Broadcom Corp. Bluetooth Controller Description:Ubuntu 10.10 Release:10.10 bluez: Installed: 4.69-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 4.69-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 4.69-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Expect to happen: The computer is supposed to sleep and bluetoothd to be suspended or quit on sleep. What happened: Bluetoothd goes into Uninterruptible Sleep where it refuses to allow the system to sleep. Reboot fixes issue but that defeats the purpose of sleeping on a laptop. ** Affects: bluez (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/848273 Title: Bluetoothd prevents sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/848273/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 838337] Test with newer development kernel (3.0.0-11.17)
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report on this issue. However, given the number of bugs that the Kernel Team receives during any development cycle it is impossible for us to review them all. Therefore, we occasionally resort to using automated bots to request further testing. This is such a request. We have noted that there is a newer version of the development kernel currently in the release pocket than the one you tested when this issue was found. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the bug if this issue still exists or not. If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released. Thank you for your help. ** Tags added: kernel-request-3.0.0-9.15 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/838337 Title: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 00010041 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/838337/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 848186] Re: libreoffice aborts (crashes) on launch
Leonard Michlmayr, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is missing. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/848186 Title: libreoffice aborts (crashes) on launch To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/848186/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 848248] [NEW] Modules libwx_gtk2u_media and libwx_gtk2u_mmedia, which were part of the wxwidgets2.6 package, are missing in 2.8. This results in all wxruby applications (among other ) to fail.
Public bug reported: Getting message libwx_gtk2u_stc-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory - /var/lib/gems/1.8/gems/wxruby-2.0.1-x86-linux/lib/wxruby2.so upon requiring 'wx' in a Ruby program. Replacing wxwidgets2.8 with wxwidgets2.6 does not solve the problem as the 2.8 version is still requested by gem or Ruby itself. To make matter more fun, 2.6 does not include another component, "libwx_gtk2u_richtext-2.8.so.0" so even linking 2,6 .so's to a 2.8 name won't work. As all wxruby programs fail (at least TTBOMK) in 101.01, I only can say: " Help. " Cheers, Michel.
