[Bug 937296] Re: Re-activating wireless freezes laptop in Oneiric
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: The step-by-step way to reproduce the bug: 1) Once deactivated the wireless network, then re-activating it causes the laptop to freeze. And in the next start (after removing battery and power wire, then plugging it again) there are not longer references nor options regarding the wireless network, nor even there is the activate wireless network option, only there is the wired connection options at the nm-applet (as seen in the attached photo). 2) So, to re-activate the wireless network, I have to run the sudo rfkill unblock all command, and to restart the laptop (or, another option for this it's to restart the laptop in Windows Vista then activating the wireless connection via HP Wireless Assistant). 3) Thus, the wireless network options do appear again at nm-applet, but yet deactivated the wireless connection; Then clicking the activate wireless connection at nm-applet it works without freezing the machine this time. The whole above procedure it's reproducible as it happens all the times I deactivate then reactivate the wireless network at the nm-applet. [Bug 960091] [NEW] Printer Icon remain hidden in Chromium browser
Public bug reported: Can't print any page of interest, using browser chromium, this problem move me to install Firefox where there all is normal with printing jobs, but not for videos. My O.S is Ubuntu 11-10. Also is not included in Office accesories menu. Also can't move printer Icon to my side bar, where I has installed almost all my recurrent Icons for easy call I search into software for the option to install printer Icon in the main menu or start up and there are not included, maybe the problem is not Ubuntu and Chromium has the fault, considering with Firefox problem dissapear. So I'm not sure what kind of help ask for this. Maybe is a problem with the top or side tools bar, because several times I treat to remove Online Translator Ucon and there is no way to do, as: remove with right click, move, move to trash, or pull. I lost that options after Upgrade from version 11.04 to 11.10. Thanks. [Bug 926207] Re: Set formats related LC_* variables when applicable instead of LC_MESSAGES, LC_CTYPE and LC_COLLATE
In the current ubiquity installation LANG represents the region, and LC_MESSAGES (and friends) the language. Thus LC_NUMERIC would default to $LANG, i. e. the region. My gut feeling is that it should have been set to the same value as LC_MESSAGES instead, as it's more related to the displayed language than the region. However, I think at this point we should perhaps not change the semantics. If ubiquity now considers LANG as the language and then sets LC_MONETARY, LC_PAPER, and also LC_NUMERIC to the region, then the net effect is identical after installation as in previous releases. But it would be compatible with how language-selector and also gnome-control- center set the locale categories. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/926207 Title: Set formats related LC_* variables when applicable instead of LC_MESSAGES, LC_CTYPE and LC_COLLATE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/926207/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
