Initially eth0 was defined in /etc/network/interfaces. Normally in /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf there is [ifupdown] managed=false which causes NetworkManager not to touch eth0. When you removed the eth0 section from /e/n/i and restarted network-manager, NetworkManager took control of eth0, configured it and obtained nameserver addresses from the DHCP server. Somehow the addresses then got into resolv.conf but it isn't clear to me that this was done in the right way. Miklos, sorry for the confusion. I've figured it out now. Breaking on gdk_x_error doesn't work at all, because the symbol is static (hence not breakable in release builds). Breaking on _XError gives false positives, showing harmless X errors that we do actually handle and are not fatal. Hello. I have the same problem. Very annoying. When switching between virtual desktops (using keyboard or mouse bindings) some apps moves to 1-st virtual desktops (from 2nd or 5-th). I have never installed myUnity.
