[Bug 1036543] Re: screen shot from the onboard keyboard layout shift state in Ubuntu 12.04 not possible
Do I understand you right, are you trying to take the screen shot by pressing Onboard's Prnt key? If so, then releasing the shift key (or any latched modifier) is expected, this is just how Onboard works. You'd have to lock the key, i.e. press it twice to make it stick. However, you can catch Onboard in any state by taking a delayed screen shot. Run the Screenshot application, set Grab after a delay of to 10 seconds, click Take Screenshot, adjust Onboard to your liking and wait. The same from the command line would be gnome-screenshot -d 10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1036543 Title: screen shot from the onboard keyboard layout shift state in Ubuntu 12.04 not possible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/onboard/+bug/1036543/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1043066] Re: Test Case dwi001- Full disk install PPC Alternate- 12.10. Yaboot installation failure
I've reassigned this to ubiquity (even though the original bug report was using the debian-installer). This will cause ubiquity to not complete the installation properly (unless things have changed in quantal) and so ubiquity needs a clean way of handling failures from yaboot-installer. Installing the bootloader manually is not a problem (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PowerPCFAQ#I.27ve_lost_yaboot.2C_what_can_I_do.3F ), but the failure to complete installation fully is. Ubiquity needs to display an error message that yaboot-installer has failed and move on. ** Package changed: yaboot-installer (Ubuntu) = ubiquity (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1043066 Title: Test Case dwi001- Full disk install PPC Alternate- 12.10. [Bug 1051389] Re: Sync sope 1.3.16-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
The reason they don't show up with nm is that SOGo and SOPE are written in Objective-C. Objective-C has dynamic binding and methods are looked up at runtime, so things work a bit different than with C/C++. If you look at the nm output, you will only see symbols for the classes. Methods don't have symbols at all. That's also the reason the libsope1 dependency doesn't have the correct version: it isn't possible for dpkg- shlibdeps to figure that out. [Bug 885525]
I have a proposed solution to this. I would like some feedback before I attempt a patch. As WADA mentioned in Comment 32, the reason for the restriction on choosing the Trash folder for a GMail account is that TB is using XLIST to get the trash folder. Whenever TB starts up, the value from the XLIST writes over any user specified value. There are a couple of ways to work around this: #1 Patch Thunderbird (aka the hard way) --- We could add a 4th option to Account Settings... Account Server Settings When I delete a message: Current options are: - Move it to this folder (which is ignored is server supports XLIST) - Just mark it as deleted (setting recommended by google) - Remove it immediate New option would be: - Use server specified folder The new option would be selected by default for servers that support XLIST and be disabled for servers that do not support XLIST. Functionally it would work the same as Move it to this folder does now. If the server supports XLIST and Move it to this folder is selected, then the value returned by XLIST will be ignored and the user specified folder will be used. This could be a good thing for other IMAP users (not just GMAil) that want to bypass a server specified Trash folder. #2 Use an extension (aka the easy way, aka the shameless plug) -- There is an extension (that I wrote) for using Thunderbird with GMail - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gmailbuttons/ As I was fixing a problem that was introduced in TB 16 that broke my extension, I came across this bug. It turns out that in fixing the other problem, I have created a work-around for this bug. Note that currently, this only applies to TB 16 and v0.5.0 of the extension (both currently in beta). If you select the trash folder you want in Server Settings Move it to this folder and click OK, then open the settings again and select Just mark it as deleted, then the Gmail Buttons extension will remember your selection and use that folder for its Trash button. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885525 Title: Deleting a Gmail Message Always Sends Item to [Gmail]/Trash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunderbird/+bug/885525/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1051520] [NEW] virtualbox-dkms 4.1.2-dfsg-1ubuntu1: virtualbox kernel module failed to build
Public bug reported: I got the following error message when upgrading: INFO: rcu_sched detected stalls on CPUs/tasks when, after having partially completed an upgrade from 11.04 server to 12.04 server version, the upgrade process required a restart to complete the upgrade. I simply switched off the PC server, which has a software raid 5 configuration. [Bug 1051227] Re: image viewer crashes ubuntu on viewing fullscreen jpg
The problem would appear to be size related. The original problem applies to a selection of photos all sized 4000 x 3000 px (filesize 5M - typical example attached). I used GIMP to scale the size. -- 3000 px wide (2.6M) caused no problem and the app behaved as expected, -- 3500px wide (3.3M) caused the app to freeze once (and I was able to kill the app only) and it loaded OK another time -- 3750 px wide (3.6M) froze the whole PC and required a manual shutdown It does not appear to be camera related: I look a new photo this morning on a lower setting (3264 px wide filesize 3M) and the app behaved as expected. Today's manifestions have been different from the last few days: -- 4 times it logged me out (so a simple login was all that was required) -- once it restarted the PC -- 4 times it froze the PC (last screen was frozen, no ability to do anything, no pointer movement) -- twice it gave a me a static command line screen (not the rolling ones I got yesterday and previous days) I cannot find any correlation between the apps I had open prior to launching image viewer (if any) and the reaction when I open a large image. Thanks for your support! ** Attachment added: 2012 09 01 007 blackbushe.JPG https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/1051227/+attachment/3318126/+files/2012%2009%2001%20007%20blackbushe.JPG -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051227 Title: image viewer crashes ubuntu on viewing fullscreen jpg To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eog/+bug/1051227/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
