[Bug 1110139] Re: Broadcom BCM4313 wireless card driver not working
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.8 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as Confirmed. Thanks in advance. [Bug 1112695] [NEW] Hybrid Intel/AMD has low graphics mode when using discrete GPU
Public bug reported: I've been trying to get hybrid graphics working on my Dell Inspirion 15R and I get the low graphics mode when starting up. This is on Raring. I have tried fglrx fglrx-updates from the restricted archive, AMD sources, and the fglrx-updates found in ppa:andrikos/ppa and all fail the way. The X server seg faults every time (see attached Xorg log). I have also tried the workaround at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI#WORKAROUND. I even downgraded the xserver-xorg-video-intel package to the one found in ppa:andrikos/ppa. [Bug 1112751] [NEW] DHCP over wireless stopped working
Public bug reported: Hi, I have a Dell Vostro 3700 notebook running Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and a Netgear FWG114P WLAN router which I bought 2005. Since the update on Sunday 27. January 2013 the NetworkManager fails to connect to my WLAN Router. The Indicator applet shows all available wireless networks, but the NetworkManager fails to establish the connection. Due to the fact that I see the available networks I think the WLAN driver itself works fine. It seems to be a DHCP problem, but I have no idead how to solve it. If I boot from an Ubuntu 12.04 USB stick which I created about 1 year ago WLAN works fine. Thus it's not a hardware problem. Please could you give me some hints how to solve this problem. [Bug 1072531] Re: [regression] X11 screen blanking after 10 minutes with no UI to change it
This is a real usability issue. I have a Mac Pro running two Ubuntu VMs and I never want them to activate screensavers/sleep mode/locked screen --the Mac Pro has its own power-saving features. The 12.04 VM works correctly, but the 12.10 has no easy option to stop the screen from turning black. I found a fix here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/207131/screensaver- blanking-problem The accepted answer worked for me -- setting idle-dim-time to 0 is my guess at what fixes things, but I also have the screensaver disabled thanks to an answer below it.
