[Bug 1119152] Re: Gimp 2.8.2 make check fails

2013-02-17 Thread Brusel
Hallo,

this isn't a bug in Gimp.
The problem comes the version of GTK+2, witch comes with Ubuntu.
I linked GIMP 2.8.2 against GTK+2.24.15, witch i installed on the system, and
the Gimp's make check showed no errors.

Best regards .

RE: [Bug 1126446] Re: install stopped cause couldn't install grub efi...

2013-02-17 Thread ken lamblin
I'm sorry, i downloaded this iso from ubuntu, always. with latest unetbootin, i
don't use fake, selfmade or else distros that are not from linux directly
i downloaded EdUbuntu directly on EdUbuntu.org

but you told that came from raring pkg
i tried raring a few time before on my desktop, mounting the iso on USB key
mouting it with unetbootin and downloaded this one as usualy from ubuntu, but i
don't understand how it could happen, i tried different distros AND different
USB keys (4, exactly...)

maybe i did wrong when i made USB boot, but i tried many times with
ubuntu 12.04.1/.2, 12.10 and finally, got bored and tried (even if
bigger) EdUbuntu 12.04.2.

first i thought my efi or quick boot etc bios utilities where the
problem, and finally i looked to the informations up the processing
barre while installing and when installing grub2 stoped and told me the
pkg was broken so i retryed download with unetbootin. but any version
any time did that error, something like

"an error ocured while installing grub2, pkg broken, must stay like that (in
french doit rester en l'état)..."
install stopped and reporting,

with EdUbuntu, i was bored and let it do all by itself just to try, and that's
been good at first time.
(sorry i really understand en us languages, but don't always use it very well,
some french talking like)

[Bug 1098298] Re: NetworkManager fails to detect link status change -- Intel 82577LM e1000e

2013-02-17 Thread Tobias Wolf
I see this too. NM stuck at "unplugged".

The thing is I only load e1000e on demand with modprobe because I
normally don't need Ethernet and want to conserve the few milliwatts
it's using when loaded.

So now when I load the module dmesg and NM never pick up link state.
mii-tool does though.

[Bug 1128052] [NEW] Unity became totally unresponsive

2013-02-17 Thread Andrey Gelman
Public bug reported:

Clicking any icon on Unity bar leads to nothing.
The same about clicking icons in the top menu (I mean 'the network status',
'audio controls' etc.).
Global menu does not appear.
HUD activation (press Alt-key) pops the prompt on the top, but nothing can be
typed in. Press Alt again, and HUD prompt will disappear.
Generally, everything works well, just no Unity ...
I am able to switch applications with Alt-Tab, type in this bug report ...
Using keyboard shortcuts to switch applications (Windows-key + Number to
activate unity bar icon) also works.

[Bug 252093] Re: sox does not handle more than 32 files

2013-02-17 Thread Ulrich Klauer
This (the original problem) has been fixed in SoX 14.2.0. There is no
internal limit on the number of files anymore.

There are still limits from the OS/shell:
1. The length of the command line is limited, a longer line may be silently
trimmed. To work around this, use a playlist file (.m3u) instead of listing the
input files on the command line.
2. SoX opens all of its input files before processing, so the OS has to support
that many open files.
I suspect Mark (comment #1) hit the first problem.

[Bug 914756] Re: symbol error launching sox v14.3.0 under 10.04.3

2013-02-17 Thread Ulrich Klauer
This error indicates a mismatch between SoX and the installed libsox, or
any of its optional formats. Such a mismatch could be the result of an
incomplete upgrade previously; however, in 14.4.0-2, the dependencies
between the different binary packages were tightened, which should
prevent this problem from occurring again.

2013-02-17 Thread Walter Garcia-Fontes
Thank you for all the information you provided for this issue. We are
sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported
bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since
that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with
some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a
currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an
issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect
and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

[Bug 928283] Re: On start of any video, one frame flashes, then black nothing

2013-02-17 Thread Walter Garcia-Fontes
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

[Bug 1093139] Re: csv import: fails to parse dates

2013-02-17 Thread frankster
It doesn't import the dates in the csv file provided by my bank. If it
is only designed to import dates that use a specific separator then this
is a bug with the specification, rather than the implementation. Either
way, it is a reasonable user expectation that the programme will import
a csv file provided by a bank without having to edit the file by hand.
So its not appropriate to mark this bug as invalid.

[Bug 999269] Re: [Upstream] Writer cursor focus on "paste special"goes to Styles and Formatting window

2013-02-17 Thread Paddy Landau
This bug is still present in Libre Office 4.0.0.3 (tested on Ubuntu
12.04 64-bit fully updated; LO 4.0.0.3 deb files downloaded from the
Libre Office website and installed using dpkg).

I can elaborate on the original bug report:

1) It affects not only the Styles dialogue, but also the Navigator
dialogue.

2) It happens not only with Paste Special, but also other actions such
as F7 (spell check) or adding an image.

[Bug 1115070] Re: totem-video-thumbnailer crashed with SIGSEGV in avcodec_decode_video2()

2013-02-17 Thread Léa GRIS
Hello,

Fabio, unless there where some trace of the actual file name processed during
the crash, I really can not tell.
The directory path opened in Nautilus was:
/home/lea/Téléchargements/

There are loads of files I deposit here, as it is the default save
location for my browsers.

totem-video-thumbnailer invoked itself upon opening the folder,
then it came across an unsupported or malformed video file, and crashed.

Thank you for your own investigations and upstream forward.

[Bug 682310] Re: Copy to clipboard does not work

2013-02-17 Thread Peter K Nicol
Using Ubuntu 12.04. Instead of copying to the clipboard, use Edit, copy as
picture, save (to desktop for instance) then copy that file and paste into
LibreOffice.
BTW this bug has been present for a few years in Ubuntu and I have always had
to use the workaround suggested.
The same copy to clipboard in Geogebra and paste into LibreOffice works
faultlessly in MS Windows.

[Bug 755231] Re: totem assert failure: totem: /build/buildd/libdvdnav-4.1.3/src/vm/vm.c:1485: process_command: Assertion `0' failed.

2013-02-17 Thread Walter Garcia-Fontes
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Totem and Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and
your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help
us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version.
When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated
logs by running apport-collect and any other logs that are
relevant for this particular issue.

2013-02-17 Thread Felix Möller
I think SwapbuffersWait fixes it for me as well. So far it has not
crashed for a day of light usage... What can we do to narrow down the
problem?
