[Bug 1157919] Re: mount.cifs does not set non-numeric uid
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. My first thought was that uid is by definition numeric. However, mount.cifs(8) says: It may be specified as either a username or a numeric uid. You haven't included full Ubuntu package version information. Please could you run the command apport-collect 1157919 on an affected system to automatically pick this information up and submit it to the bug? Once done, please change the bug status back to New. The next step is to check if the latest upstream version still has this bug by compiling it from source. You have been subscribed to a public bug: I noticed the winbind_krb5_locator.so kerberos plugin is missing from the samba package. [Bug 1159748] Re: Ramdom apache2 crash in Ubuntu 12.04 (libpthread-2.15.so)
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please could you confirm the version of the apache2 package in use at the time the crash occurred? And have you reproduced this problem on any other hardware apart from the server affected? Once you've answered, please change the bug status back to New. Setting Importance to Medium for now. As apache2 is widely used on 12.04 and I haven't seen any other reports, I think it's reasonable to assume that this crash does not affect a wide number of Ubuntu users until others can confirm it. ** Changed in: apache2 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: apache2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1159748 Title: Ramdom apache2 crash in Ubuntu 12.04 (libpthread-2.15.so) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1159748/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1159818] [NEW] Allow architecture armhf with template ubuntu-cloud when running on ARM
Public bug reported: Currently it is not possible to use the template ubuntu-cloud with armhf because i386 and amd64 are hard-coded. [Bug 1159817] Re: python module lxc failed to import on ARM with: UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0xb5 in position 0: invalid start byte
I'm currently going on the assumption that we simply got a corrupted binary out of the armhf buildd. I'm doing a local rebuild to confirm and if that's the case, will simply push a no-change rebuild. This assumption is based on the fact that the same python module works on other architectures and that the binding only got very slightly changed between ~alpha3 (working on armhf) and ~rc1 (not working on armhf) with those changes limited to the Container object and not to the import functions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1159817 Title: python module lxc failed to import on ARM with: UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0xb5 in position 0: invalid start byte To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1159817/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 1132584] Re: cedarview-drm kernel module fails to build on kernel 3.5.x [error: implicit declaration of function 'do_mmap']
I had just tried using the download from Ubuntu and it did not work. I tried the one on the PB site and it worked! I followed these instructions however- http://linuxeeepc.blogspot.com.es/2012/08/lubuntu-on-eeepc-1025c-with-correct.html. If you have another linux installation be carefu about removing kernels! It will delete anything you tell it to anywhere on the disk. I am using GDM and the only thing I want to do that I can not is autohide the launcher and shrink the auncher icon size. I do not play games so no comment there. garyk On Sat, Mar 23, 2013 at 10:36 AM, Anant Mishra anantmis...@outlook.comwrote: Hey I just downloaded Ubuntu 12.04.1 from The Pirate Bay and have working graphics drivers for cedarview. 3D sucks but I don't care about it I can now play my HD Videos without stuttering still have some juice from the CPU left to play with...! [Bug 1159654] [NEW] Crash when highlight-dragging text
Public bug reported: When I'm browsing online, I unconsciously highlight and deselect random text on the page. Sometime when I drag the text briefly X will crash. The crash consistently occurs at the moment the text-drag starts or right after. I've tried to reproduce the bug intentionally but can't, but I consistently get X crashes every 5 hours or so of surfing online. I use Chromium as my browser if it's relevant. The Xorg.0.log.old has some details about a segfault at the end, I'm pretty sure that lines up with the crash. [Bug 999875] Re: My camera stopped showing video feed since about two weeks ago
dmesg seems to have a lot of private things in it. What should I look for? For now I found these lines: [ 14.390031] Linux video capture interface: v2.00 [ 14.633504] uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device Laptop_Integrated_Webcam_FHD (05ca:181e) [ 14.635082] input: Laptop_Integrated_Webcam_FHD as /devices/pci:00/:00:1a.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.4/1-1.4:1.0/input/input17 [ 14.635149] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo [ 14.635151] USB Video Class driver (1.1.1) I tried qv4l2 now. [Bug 1075928] Re: Please, silence IA__gdk_error_trap_pop: assertion `gdk_error_traps != NULL' failed
Hello again. I have got an update in ubuntu 13.04 and I have to say that the message has disappeared (you can try to use the command gksu in the terminal to demonstrate it) . At the other side all applications that functioned with gtk don't start any more. Are you still sure it is a bug related to libcanberra which regulates the sound? I cannot give more informations until the next update in raring. For me cryptkeeper and taskcoach are out of order yet. Could someone suggest other common gtk applications to test and reproduce this bug? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075928 Title: Please, silence IA__gdk_error_trap_pop: assertion `gdk_error_traps != NULL' failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libcanberra/+bug/1075928/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
