Thanks for the merge request.

We rate this security vulnerability as being low priority, which means
we will not publish a security update for it unless another more
important issue turns up in openvpn, at which point we will bundle both
updates together.

I am unsubscribing ubuntu-security-sponsors for now.

[Bug 1186501] Re: LXC won't tear down VETH device on shutdown

2013-06-04 Thread Serge Hallyn
I can't reproduce this on an uptodate raring server.

You filed this against qemu-kvm, but the bug is claimed against lxc. I
will mark ti as affecting lxc - please then run 'apport-collect 1186501'
to get some helpful debugging info uploaded to the bug.

It might also help to do a 'lxc-start -n containername -l info -o
lxc.debug', then attach lxc.debug to this bug.

[Bug 1185908] Re: slapd: slapcat output truncated every now and then

2013-06-04 Thread Ryan Tandy
Note to sponsors/SRU team: the impact of this bug is limited to slapd
only and I really don't expect people to be running LDAP servers on
quantal or raring: therefore I think it's most important to fix this in
precise, less so for those others.

[Bug 1180867] Re: cloud-config merging not forward or backward compatible

It's not clear to me that this bug is an appropriate SRU candidate.

If you believe it is, please expand on the justification. It might help
for you to follow the SRU bug template¹ - you're also missing a test-
case we can use to verify that this bug is fixed, and what should be
checked to be confident that the change doesn't introduce any
regressions.

[Bug 1183212] Re: plymouth outputs the message Please remove installation media... into a wrong console when Ubuntu 13.04 installation is finished

2013-06-04 Thread regmka
It turned out the configuration file /etc/init/plymouth-stop.conf is to blame:
when I replaced the lines 21-25 of the script:

pre-start script
case $JOB in
gdm|kdm|lightdm|ubiquity|oem-config)
exit 0

with

pre-start script
case $JOB in
gdm|kdm|lightdm|ubiquity|oem-config|rc)
exit 0

the bug ceased to reproduce. It seems the problem is that the script
/usr/bin/ubiquity-dm
may be started after the script /etc/init.d/rc.

[Bug 1186550] Re: User and group are hard coded in the init script

2013-06-04 Thread Alexander Wirt
Every nagios related component is configured to run as nagios:nagios, in
that way running them on Nagios and Icinga is possible without much
problems and we don't have to adapt any documentation for complicated
setup steps. Just changing the user for icinga isn't enough, there have
to be several changes on directory permissions too. So in short: its
perfect the way it is and supporting installations that are not running
under nagios:nagios isn't wanted - and if you ask me - its not
neccessary. I / we invested a lot of work to take sure that installing
Icinga (and a related stuff) is as easy as possible.

[Bug 1187256] [NEW] Pandora.com does not work without chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra installed

2013-06-04 Thread boshhead
Public bug reported:

Only chromium-codecs-ffmpeg is installed by default. But Pandora.com
does not work without the -extra version of this package installed in
its place. Instead, the service fails without any helpful error message.

Pandora.com is a popular music streaming service that ideally should
work by default with all browsers.

[Bug 1068404] Re: Low graphics mode in muxless hybrid ATI/Intel GPU systems after fglrx upgrade

2013-06-04 Thread Luigi R.
Thanks Rafael!!!. Usually I do not have any xorg.conf or xorg.conf.d.
xorg.conf is the one that comes from aticonfig. Should I put those lines
in the xorg.conf created by the catalyst driver?

ps: I have tried to install the beta version 13.6 using the user
interface but the installation does not start complaining about adapter
not supported while I have seen it in the list (HD6470M). Maybe I should
switch the discrete card on with vgaswitcheroo before doing it.

[Bug 751605] Re: Multi-monitor - Windows maximize on the wrong monitor

2013-06-04 Thread Michael Mess
I was not able to reproduce this with a Terminal window, but with
firefox I get this strange effect when UNmaximizing a new window.

When I open a new window of firefox, it opens maximized on the attached
external monitor. When I click on UnMaximize, it jumps to the laptop display.
The effect appears only on newly opened firefox windows. Windows that have been
'used' already for resizing, etc. do not have this effect.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We noticed that some of the sentences in this bug report
are not in English. If they were translated to English they would be
more understandable to triagers. Could you please translate them?

Rafael, which Ubuntu version are you using? And what's the kernel
version? For the external corruption you mentioned, some fix is needed
in Intel kernel driver, and probably you can try the kernel image below.

[Bug 1186959] Re: Regression: Intel graphics fails when bringing monitor out of sleep

2013-06-04 Thread Jussi Pakkanen
I tried the upstream kernel and could not reproduce the issue by making
the monitor sleep 10 times in a row. The standard Ubuntu kernel has been
broken all the time (though the issue only manifests every now and
then).

So either that patch alone is not sufficient or I just had poor luck in
trying to reproduce the bug with an upstream kernel.
