I setup a Windows 7 VM on KVM and started using it through remote desktop. What happens is that, after some hours of usage, the remote desktop connection freezes. However, today I've switched to a different RDP client (2X Client chromium app) and the freeze just happened again! Some information: - the host and the VM are completely idle when the freeze occurs - I've tried sniffing the network packets toward the RDP port during the freeze and found that the client is sending packets but no packet is sent back Could this be a KVM issue? Window manager varies. In the original report it was openbox (as I believe I stated, in comment #7). Current window manager is xfwm4. [Bug 1190791] [NEW] cinder's rbd backend driver now uses python library
Public bug reported: The rbd cinder driver now uses the rbd and rados python libraries instead of shelling out to the rbd CLI tools. [Bug 968112] Re: Emerald (the original Compiz Window Decorator) not available in Precise, Quantal, Raring and Saucy, while it was working on all Ubuntu versions before [needs-packaging]
@Phillip: The instructions on how to compile/build Emerald are posted in the bug description, but I will repost them again: git clone git://anongit.compiz.org/fusion/decorators/emerald cd emerald git checkout -b compiz++ origin/compiz++ ./autogen.sh export LIBS=-ldl -lm ./configure make To install: sudo make install ** Summary changed: - Emerald (the original Compiz Window Decorator) not available in Precise and Quantal, while it was working on all Ubuntu versions before [needs-packaging] + Emerald (the original Compiz Window Decorator) not available in Precise, Quantal, Raring and Saucy, while it was working on all Ubuntu versions before [needs-packaging] ** Changed in: emerald (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Confirmed ** Description changed: I hope Emerald does not get forgotten and someone can fix this, because it is still by far the best window decorator available, coupled with a great theme manager and possibilities for the power user to adjust window decorations in both looks and functionality. For example the window decoration can be individualized and upgraded by adding buttons to make windows Sticky/Unsticky Shade/Unshade Roll- Up/Down or by adding glow, changing fonts and adjusting shadows/transparency and colors. All of those functionality and the great look with transparency and glow cannot be matched by any other available window decorator out there, so this is a big regression on Precise and Quantal for many users, who used to use it on Ubuntu before. Also it was designed to accomplish Compiz and Compiz without Emerald is not Compiz anymore, while the combination Compiz/Emerald/Unity was - really great in the past and still is (with 2 minor bugs, which still - need to be fixed). + really great in the past and still is. [Bug 1190356] Re: Can't connect to Ubuntu One
Same problem for me since a few weeks... I tried all the cleanup/restart/reinstall instruction found in other bugs/problem reports with no success so far. I'm syncing fine from home (12.04) and android app browses files happily... nope, instead, from the office server still running 10.04 (on AMD64)... Isn't it that the 10.04 client is no longer supported (and working) by the cloud server? I am planning an upgrade the to newest LTS available... yet it is a production server and I can't take the hassle to upgrade as long as the production quit for summer vacation... (and then 12.04 sounds so much heavier on cpu than 10.04... but this is another matter). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1190356 Title: Can't connect to Ubuntu One To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntuone-client/+bug/1190356/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
