[Bug 1171418] Re: MAAS fails to power up machines when trying to install nodes
Hi All. I'm completely new to posting here so please forgive my inexperience. Here's my problem and fix in cli however what I wish to do is add this fix to the ipmi.template so that maas will work correctly. This is while running maas on a HP Blade server C7000 series with ProLiant BL2x220c G5 server blades - iLo 2.0 non working example: ipmipower -h 10.200.0.36 -u maas -p x --stat 10.200.0.36: authentication type unavailable for attempted privilege level working example: ipmipower -D LAN_2_0 -h 10.200.0.36 -u maas -p x --stat 10.200.0.36: off Another which controls power on and off: ipmipower -h 10.200.0.36 -u maas -p x --on 10.200.0.36: authentication type unavailable for attempted privilege level ipmipower -h 10.200.0.36 -u maas -p x --off 10.200.0.36: authentication type unavailable for attempted privilege level working example: ipmipower -D LAN_2_0 -h 10.200.0.36 -u maas -p x --on 10.200.0.36: ok ipmipower -D LAN_2_0 -h 10.200.0.36 -u maas -p kC17O6xZ --off 10.200.0.36: ok So where and how do I add -D LAN_2_0 to enable the IPMI commands to work within MAAS? I'm sure other people will be experiencing this particular issue. Do I add anything to either of these files? /usr/share/pyshared/provisioningserver/power/templates/ipmi.template /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/provisioningserver/power/templates/ipmi.template Thanks in advance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to maas in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1171418 Title: MAAS fails to power up machines when trying to install nodes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1171418/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1181777] Re: kvm: freeze a guest with a NIC PCI passthrough
An ipxe package is building in ppa:serge-hallyn/virt which has a newer broadcom driver. See https://launchpad.net/~serge-hallyn/+archive/virt for details. When it builds, please grab kvm- ipxe_1.0.0+git-3.55f6c88-0ubuntu2.12.04.1~ppa1_all.deb (and, if you have ipxe itself installed, also ipxe_1.0.0+git-3.55f6c88-0ubuntu2.12.04.1~ppa1_all.deb) and install them with 'dpkg -i', and let us know if that fixes the hang. [Bug 1215414] Re: CMake path error in Qt 5.1.1
Dmitry: No, that patch was actually dropped since seemingly it was merged upstream. I considered it and many other upstream changes, but eventually did not find any single commit to revert to fix the issue. I found the place where it could be fixed, and overrode the upstream logic by setting the qt5_MODULE_install_prefix equal to QT_INSTALL_PREFIX. That's also one of the options in the upstream logic, but somehow something else got selected now in 5.1.1, unlike in 5.1. This forcing in qtbase seems to address the issue, I've been now rebuilding all the 5.1.1 modules in qt5-beta2 and at least the initial CMake using projects I found failing now all build fine.
