[Bug 1226855] Re: Cannot use open-iscsi inside LXC container
Thanks for reporting this bug. Your example command says '$ip:$port'. Is the iscsid running on the host or in the container? Is $ip the ip of the host? If $ip is the host ip and you just want iscsiadm in the guest to talk to iscsid on the host, that should work. There are several ways depending on your configuration where netlink sockets might be being attempted. Could you show strace -f output to show exactly which fails? (iscsiadm itself should only fail if you're trying offload, which it doesn't look like you are) Netlink sockets are per-netns, so if you want to be able to connect to a netlink socket from another netns, then something will need to open a socket from the target netns and pass that into the other ns. (This could be arranged with setns, but only from the host). ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1226855 Title: Cannot use open-iscsi inside LXC container To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1226855/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1228485] Re: smbd and nmbd can start up before their respective apparmor profiles are loaded
This is not an appropriate change to apply to the samba package in its current form, because we are not shipping an apparmor profile for either smbd or nmbd by default. If you have a local apparmor profile, you will need to be responsible for local modifications as well. It's not reasonable to have each upstart job provide apparmor integration that won't be used on most systems (and indeed, the upstart jobs need to run correctly on systems that don't have apparmor installed - e.g., in Debian). ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228485 Title: smbd and nmbd can start up before their respective apparmor profiles are loaded To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1228485/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1180777] Re: RDP traffic freeze on quiet network
** Summary changed: - Windows 7 VM freeze on Ubuntu 12.04 KVM + RDP traffic freeze on quiet network ** Description changed: + To summarize what I think has been found so far, + + 1. The main symptom is that RDP connections hang after some time + 2. This bug affects qemu 1.0 .. 1.6.5 + 3. This bug affects at least windows xp and windows 7 guests + 4. Keeping another network connection open, such as vnc, prevents the RDP connection from hanging. + + Hi, I have recently setup a Windows 7 VM on KVM and started using it through remote desktop. What happens is that, after some hours of usage, the remote desktop connection freezes. I thought it was a remmina bug, as the it was enough to kill and restart it to successfully connect again to the VM. However, today I've switched to a different RDP client (2X Client chromium app) and the freeze just happened again! Some information: - the host and the VM are completely idle when the freeze occurs - I've tried sniffing the network packets toward the RDP port during the freeze and found that the client is sending packets but no packet is sent back Could this be a KVM issue? How can I further debug this one (I expect the freeze to happen again...)? [Bug 1226855] Re: Cannot use open-iscsi inside LXC container
I can't answer all of the questions, but the basic idea is that an LXC container could mount an iscsi target from inside the container with very little if any cooperation from the host's user space. [Bug 1203520] Re: 10de:1040 snd_hda_codec_hdmi (via pavucontrol or applications playing sound) freezes Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
To keep this at Incomplete is getting beyond the limits of what a user can install on the one production machine around (not everybody has an entire farm), while Ubuntu 13+ cannot currently be booted from USB either. Please see also developments at https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1169984 (where I had been told to open a new bug) #124, 127 et seq. which do seem to indicate similar causes after all, i.e. a lot of people are now blacklisting this snd_hda_codec_hdmi because they have to, and though they'd need it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1203520 Title: 10de:1040 snd_hda_codec_hdmi (via pavucontrol or applications playing sound) freezes Ubuntu 12.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1203520/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 592434] Re: ssh -X user@machine hangs when using exit to terminate
** Description changed: ssh -X user@server hangs when using exit to terminate Steps to reproduce: user@client:~$ ssh -X user@server user@server:~$ gedit At this point gedit from server will run locally. Closing the program and returning to the terminal you run: user@server:~$ exit logout At this point the terminal hangs on the echo logout, but does not return to the client prompt. The action has been consistent when connecting to a server running opensolaris or ubuntu 8.04. The client is using Ubuntu 10.04 and the server is using 8.04, and using default password authentication. As you will see in the video attached I can confirm the issue when using a clean Ubuntu 10.04 as a client and Ubuntu 8.04 as the server, using default password authentication. However there are a few things you can do to work around this issue. - -When logging out press Ctrl-D -When logging out with exit and it hangs, press Ctrl-C -If you would like to simply use gedit on another computer use the following command: - ssh -X lucas@machine gedit + $ dbus-launch gedit + - ProblemType: Bug - DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 - Package: openssh-server 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu3 - ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.36-generic-pae 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 - Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic-pae i686 - Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Jun 10 17:34:26 2010 - InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx - Release i386 (20100429) - ProcEnviron: - LANG=en_US.utf8 - SHELL=/bin/bash - SourcePackage: openssh -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592434 Title: ssh -X user@machine hangs when using exit to terminate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/dbus/+bug/592434/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1195483] Re: Installation, Live and Check disc do not start on Asus ZenBook Prime UX31A
@Christopher: will do. I'm in the process of bisecting. The problem has been introduced somewhere between v3.10-rc1 and v3.10-rc2. More precisely, it has been introduced between v3.10-rc1 and commit fea0f9f. Looking at the logs, the latter is a likely candidate: --- Pull drm fixes from Dave Airlie: Just a few straggling fixes I hoovered up, and an intel fixes pull from Daniel which fixes some regressions, and some mgag200 fixes from Matrox. --- I'm bisecting that branch now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1195483 Title: Installation, Live and Check disc do not start on Asus ZenBook Prime UX31A To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1195483/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1224323] Re: 8086:10f5 [HP EliteBook 8530w] Wired network intermittently fails
I have downloaded linux-image-3.8.13-03081309-generic_3.8.13-03081309.201309121635_amd64.deb linux-image-3.9.0-030900-generic_3.9.0-030900.201304291257_amd64.deb from the mainline directory and will be testing these once I have an opportunity to reboot the machine / once the problem appears again. I hard booted this morning and without remembering I needed to do something, the machine came up with 3.8.0-30 as it normally would. I haven't had a problem yet, but it's only been an hour. The problem is I don't know how to reliably reproduce this problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1224323 Title: 8086:10f5 [HP EliteBook 8530w] Wired network intermittently fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1224323/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
