[Bug 1246229] Re: Error: Puppet::Parser::AST::Resource failed with error TypeError: no implicit conversion from nil to integer at ...
I've found a reason on the first machine. Since I use parameterized classes, puppet did not work without hiera (complains), although I had not used it. Since puppet with hiera complains about a missing /etc/puppet/hiera.yaml, I've made an empty one. That's the problem. Just writing --- into it solves the problem. [Bug 1243187] Re: Horizon drops path when redirecting to login page after session expires
Thanks Kymil-arcadia for pointing out my mistake - reading my own comment again I can't figure out the sense of my solution. So here is the full story: By default, /etc/openstack-dashboard/local_settings.py has the following lines: LOGIN_URL='/horizon/auth/login/' LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/horizon/' It is necessary to change them to: LOGIN_URL='/horizon/auth/login/' LOGOUT_URL='/horizon/auth/logout/' LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/horizon/' Adding that one extra LOGOUT_URL that you also mentioned. [Bug 1184262] Re: [logind] times out too early, stuck in PrepareForSleep, causing network and other services to not resume
Indeed, the cutoff point would be 10 minutes (that's the timeout of the current PPA version). As I wrote, that's just an experimental one which confirms that this is the problem. The real solution is to completely disable the timeout until a method call is fully done. That was my first thought too, when trying to find reproducible conditions. But in my case 30 minutes are definitive not long enough (just tested it). I would even say the hibernation period must be longer than 1h (not tested thoroughly). Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. [Bug 1249231] [NEW] Evolution locks up occasionally if multiple accounts are scheduled for retrieval
Public bug reported: I use Linux Mint, currently ver 15, 32 bit, Mate Desktop, and since Ubuntu changed the default email app from Evolution to Thunderbird, I cannot retrieve email from each of my accounts automatically and have to request them manually one at a time. I had them scheduled to retrieve on a staggered time interval, but when the interval allows more then one to attempt retrieval at the same time, evolution hangs and has to be killed manually and restarted. The only way around this I've found is to manually select the account I wish to retrieve, and wait for it to complete before selecting another account manually. [Bug 1221654] Re: cpufreq indicator does not work correctly with kernel 3.10.10
After a bit of digging I found : http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-2179879.html and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1188647 So it is because the new intel pstate driver is activated with the new kernel by default. This driver only has performance and powersave settings (which should be enough, and they should be better than the old cpufreq driver). If you have trouble with this new driver (high cpu consumption, bad performance), you can add intel_pstate=disable to your boot option. Marking this as invalid I guess. ** Changed in: indicator-cpufreq (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1221654 Title: cpufreq indicator does not work correctly with kernel 3.10.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-cpufreq/+bug/1221654/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1249249] [NEW] Force running .click or .deb tests
Public bug reported: Hey! There is a dedicated interface, phablet-click-test-setup, to setup AP tests for Click packages correctly (and the corresponding .deb interface is built into phablet-test-run) so that one gets exactly the right tests for testing a Click or a .deb package. However when testing one or the other, it's not possible to select which sets of tests to use; e.g. when one has notes-app.deb and notes.click tests installed, it's not possible to tell phablet-test-run which one to run. This feature was requested by Didier as helpful in testing for the CI / Landing team. I've found a reason on the first machine. Since I use parameterized classes, puppet did not work without hiera (complains), although I had not used it. [Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.
Thanks Norbert for your testing work and your bug reports! Some comments * default Super+Space and Shift+Super+Space does not work (bug 1245136) - the most important bug (it's default hotkey!!!). That could be bug #1249208. It works here after running ibus-setup and changing the ibus key to something else * non-latin shortcuts are broken (see bug 1226962) - the most important bug (affects many multi-layout users), That bug seems to list several issues. The gsd keybindings, e.g ctrl- alt-L ... did that ever worked? I installed 13.04 which has the old stack and tried that: - added a Russian keymap - binded ctrl-alt-C to the calculator - changed the active layout to russian - hit ctrl-alt-c (or ctrl-alt-l) That doesn't work ... it seems like that's not a new issue/not due to the 13.10 changes Note that keybindings not working in e.g libreoffice is another issue and due to the GNOME implementation choices, they consider that libreoffice needs to be fixed, see the first comment on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55585 which explain that. Note sure if others applications hit the same issue (gtk does the correct thing so GTK software are fine, firefox and Qt application seem to not have the issue either) * shortcuts starting with Ctrl+Shift+ got broken if layout switchin set to Ctrl+Shift (bug 1246656) - the most important bug (affects many multi-layout users). Right, that's a annoying one, the only way to fix it is to move the key grabbing in unity, we are working on that but it's technically non trivial and take some time * some shortcut combinations started with Win or Alt open a HUD - bug with the lowest importance. That's not a new issue either ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #55585 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55585 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1218322 Title: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc. To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1218322/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Kailang, It does not matter. Kailang, is it possible for you to add more comments to your patch so it can be applied upstream?
