[Bug 1281256] [NEW] Shutdown / Restart dialogue must correspond indicator selection
Public bug reported: When user selects reboot from top left power indicator confirmation dialogue appears but Shut down is always highlighted and default option. In my opinion when user selects reboot the reboot option must be highlighted so it would be much easier to confirm selection by pressing Enter key that to move mouse to select not Shut down but Restart and clicking on It This would be much better user experience and could save some time ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: gnome-session 3.9.90-0ubuntu7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-8.28-generic 3.13.2 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-8-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.13.2-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Mon Feb 17 21:22:16 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-02-13 (3 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr - Alpha amd64 (20140211) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: gnome-session UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug gnome third-party-packages trusty ui unity ** Attachment added: I select restart but dialog default sets shut down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1281256/+attachment/3984392/+files/Screenshot%20from%202014-02-17%2021%3A24%3A28.png ** Tags added: ui unity ** Tags added: gnome -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1281256 Title: Shutdown / Restart dialogue must correspond indicator selection To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1281256/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1281213] Re: Ubuntu goes into standby mode instead of powering off
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1281213/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 480671]
A. Craig West's logic is spot-on. Whether or not the browser-side user approves of case-sensitive usernames, that user doesn't control whether *the site they're visiting* deals in case-sensitive usernames. The browser needs to be able to handle those sites too. Otherwise it's like saying because we're philosophically opposed to spammy pop-up windows, therefore we won't have features to deal with sites that launch them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480671 Title: Firefox auto-completes login fields in a case-insensitive manner To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/firefox/+bug/480671/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1281286] [NEW] ruby-arel = 4 breaks ruby-activerecord-3.2
Public bug reported: This bug results into a non-working /usr/bin/rails! The package of ruby-activerecord-3.2 claims to depend on ruby-arel = 3.0.2~ but the ruby source states ~ 3.0.2 which means =3.0.2 4 in Debian syntax! See /usr/share/rubygems-integration/*/specifications/activerecord-3.2.13.gemspec ! Since saucy ruby-arel 4.0 is in Ubuntu but this version is only supported in rails 4.0. The best solution might be to offer a new (old) ruby-arel-3.0 package in parralel on saucy and trusty. For trusty it might be a good idea to upgrade to rails 4 (ruby-activerecord-4.0). If that is not possible before the release we need to downgrade ruby- arel to 3.0! As a workaround I installed ruby-arel 3.0.2-3 from raring. ** Affects: ruby-activerecord-3.2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: ruby-arel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ruby-activerecord-3.2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1281286 Title: ruby-arel = 4 breaks ruby-activerecord-3.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ruby-activerecord-3.2/+bug/1281286/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1272624] Re: [Dell Latitude E7440] 14.04 Touchpad not as smooth as Win7
Scott, if you get chance, also test ElementaryOS. I have just switched from that to Ubuntu and Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 for testing and my touchpad (Lenovo Z500) is also quite jerky. Or rather I suppose I would describe it as a grainy movement. In ElementaryOS it was fine although it is also jerky in 12.04 which ElementaryOS is based upon. I'm going to try and find out if the Elementary team adding anything else to their distro. Might not help, but if 12.04 is the same..might be worth a shot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1272624 Title: [Dell Latitude E7440] 14.04 Touchpad not as smooth as Win7 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1272624/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
